You can definitely miscarry before three months. You can miscarry as soon as the egg is fertilized. But if it never implants, I would think it would be virtually painless or nothing more than normal menstrual cramps. If you think you've had a miscarriaage, I'd go see a doctor. Better to be safe than sorry.
