The Piano

My feet cross the floorboards,
An even undisturbed dance,
No voices echo my thoughts,
As my fingers have one chance,

I slip upon the seat,
Soft yet so cold,
A motion now so haunting,
As my spirit now unfolds,

This life on a platter,
As the key stays in air,
The sound deep and bold,
And this life now to share,

As the words pass my lips,
No one understands,
Although they stare in wonder,
And voice this with their hands,

The curtains close my eyes,
As the light fades away,
Walking to the midnight,
Wishing not to see the day.

Symphony Of Lies (Sonnet IV)

I'm here playing a Symphony Of Lies,
why do I hide my true feelings for you?
I sit wiping away tears from my eyes,
knowing everything I said wasn't true.

Nothing but lies, and nothing but deceit,
still I write sonnets to my broken heart,
may it become whole and one day complete,
maybe I can then begin from the start.

I know I loved you, but you never knew,
now I pay for it every single day,
and all the time i wanted to tell you,
but I couldn't think of the words to say.

So I play this sweet Symphony Of Lies,
siting here writing my final goodbye.

Sweet Sunlight

Even when I walk through the dark valley of death,
I will not be afraid for sweet sunlight,
has borrowed my heart and made it right.
Taken my tears and wiped them away.
Taken my fears and sent them affray.

Living deep within my unworthy heart,
lies a God that shall never depart.
There to make my life okay,
there to never go away.

Simple features light up on my face,
as I soon began to slowly erase
the pain that came to me yesterday..
The sadness I thought would never go away.

And, even when I walk through the dark valley of death
my sweet sunlight will lend me power to breathe,
and take the hunger that shouldn't cease.
My sweet sunlight, oh my sweet sunlight..
how thankful I am for such beauty delight.

The Kyrielle is a French form of rhyming poetry written in quatrains (a stanza consisting of 4 lines), and each quatrain contains a repeating line or phrase as a refrain (usually appearing as the last line of each stanza). Each line within the poem consists of only eight syllables. There is no limit to the amount of stanzas a Kyrielle may have, but three is considered the accepted minimum.

The piano plays a symphony of lies
painting sweet sunlight with endless night-
Singing old stories that tell me no truths
of the dawn of betrayal and broken youth.
And, sweetly bitter, the fruits of life
Offer me hopes that soon are denied,
As the time of day is dreamed away
Shackled and tied by its desperate sway.

The symphony plays through endless night
Singing its stories and telling its lies-
Betraying my heart, my hopes and dreams,
And all the while it cruelly pleas
Dance with me- Sing with me-
Come to me- Join with me-
Fly with me- lie with me-
Always off key; tunelessly breaking my soul.
