Is it possible to love your partner more than they love you?

my boyfriend has it in his head that i love him more than he loves me, i said as long as he loves me im happy...but i cant get the conversation we had out of my head..

Yes, I do think it is possible. I have been there, felt both ends of the stick, but I can't explain these type of things as well as someone else could. I suck at this stuff.

There are definatley stages of love.
you can love someone but not want to be with them. etc etc. im not saying he doesnt want to be with you, but maybe he has protected himself from falling too hard for you, leaving you, head over heels for him, and him sitting on the fence.

My ex loved me more than I loved him, to the point where I got restless because I was incapable of showing him the same type of affection; and I felt so guilty because it was not what he deserved. It is definitely possible. =/
