After writing a poem and posting it on this website.
Do you expect any comments? Lots of comments or no comments?

I just registered though I'm a big fan of this site. I always come and read here.

To be honest no I don't expect anything. Even reading..

I don't expect much, actually; but, I'm happy when people do read my poems, and like them.

    Hmmm

Lately I don't expect much. But I'm thankful for the sincere comments I get sometimes. =)

The initial reason for joining here was that I had a backup copy of my poems in case my laptop crashed. I don't really expect anything, per se, which is why I still post quotes of my own. Without an "I Want This" attitude, it's more of a pleasant surprise when I'm left with a little note from readers, especially from Heather :D.

I would think that this place is more than helpful for growing as a writer. You have the discussion forums as the most obvious place, and of course ratings and comments help us to zero in on the aspects of our poetry that work and do not work.

So I don't think you have a leg to stand on there, Illuminati.

I have been on here for a while now, when I first post a new poem I usually get comments from a few loyal friends ,I am assuming I am on their favorites list, after that they just come randomly It is exciting to see new ones and it is exciting for me to see comments from a select few that I especially admire, I think its probably best not to have real expectations on here though, you never know what will happen.

My expectation... well, hope... is that someone will be able to read one of my poems and relate to that emotion or experience... Something that will hit home. Because personally, when I read a poem I can relate to, it helps me realize that I am not alone.

So I just want other people to feel that way too... whether they comment about it or not.

I expect to get the same majority of lies about how good my poems are, followed by some people whom I don't know who leave meaningful comments about my poem. The only person to ever criticize my poems was Stephen (whom most should now if you've been on this site for a while).

I also expect 1/4 of the people who comment to not vote or like four or five people who commented not to have voted, but anyways... I expect the usual, the same, what I always receive.

Poets must expect comments, so that they can improve. Well I do for sure. What happened MOhamed???

Yeah 1/4 of poets dont vote. Thats really embarassing. Some are reluctant to vote I feel.

    Well I don't expect anything.
If you leave me comments then hey I know that someone happened to like or dislike that poem or whatever.
But in the end it doesn't matter.
Some poeple have like 40 comments on one poem while I only have like 4 or 5.
    It doesn't matter to me.

I dont always expect comments I expect my writing to touch people and if that person feels the need to comment back and explain why then that works but if not then thats not the main point.

I expect to get my voice heard. that is all.
but if someone wishes to comment and says i have touched them in some way or even just made them think for a moment i am grateful!

I expect nothing, if people want to read, they can read, comments are welcome but i don't chase people to comment me like some people seem to do.

I just like having somewhere to post my stuff where i can access it anytime i need =)

Well I post it for a reason, to be able to express how I feel, But knowing that people like it or don't like it helps, so I like it when I get comments....and RAR I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE COMMENT BUT DONT VOTE!!! it's not that hard!!!

I expect comments and votes if people like them. If not i just expect a comment saying "I didnt like this for dadada and nanana" so i can work on my poems in the future. I also hate it when people say "Great word 5/5 but dont actually vote. If i comment i always vote so i expect a little back
