Hey Guys,
I've looked at some of her titles and I think they have a LOT of potential! So show me what cha got! :)

Rules:
1- No profanity (exept for hell b/c it has another meaning)
2- No explicit poems
3- Nothing religious (don't even mention a heavenly hope)
4- Can be old or new
5- No more than two poems per poet and two poets per title

The One That Got Away

The frustration burns
as you say goodbye
the door that has been open
for so long
silently closed

the anger recedes
pain sets in
i lost it all
giggles, smiles, twinkles in the eye
all washed away
riding on waves of tears

your smile reappears
voice echoes inside my soul
i feel your arms around me
but you're no where near
that door was shut

i promise
this door will never be shut
that memory has yet to fade
along with your honey eyes
regret consumes me

turning my head
a glint of hope springs to life
your laugh was there
that laugh of pure happiness
only crushed to find no one there

my fire has been eternally put out
nothing but smolders
hope is of no use
all is lost

that door was closed
locked and never to be opened again
the same way you opened it

You're the one who stole my heart
Only to give it back.
Thought you'd be my hero
But I'm tied to the tracks.

You're the one who took my love
Then brushed it aside.
Looked like we would go forever
But you ended the ride.

Just to shatter the hope.

Because it' so like life to try and cheat us out of a few.
But I'd give all my sixties for another ten with you.

It was a light I knew would flicker out.
I just didn't expect it to be so soon,
With you lying breathless in the dining room.

Every tube told me you were courageous.
Every wire sang your praises,
I didn't need the doctors to tell me you were the very bravest.

I'm never going to speak to you now.
Words spill but you're not here.
Words that you will never hear.

There is a path only you can walk.
Hear me scream your name.
I don't want to play this game.

I bruise too easily.

Their manes stream out behind them
Strewn backwards in the breeze
Glossy browns and blacks and whites
They all do as they please

Throwing caution over their shoulders
Galloping into the West
Kicking up all the dusty stones
With carefree spirits and zest

Now are these wild creatures real
Or are they our hopes and dreams?
Are they really thundering through our heads
Is nothing what it seems?

They stand for joy and freedom
These wild horses that we chase
They show us all how life could be
If we gave up this pointless race

The sounds of their hoofs echo
In most every mortal mind
Reminding us of love and hope
And what freedom we could find

The sanity from my mind
You took film in my camera
And too much of my time.

You ate away my minutes
Dripped the ink out of my pen
Left me thinking there was hope
Then took that all again.

You stole my word's allowance
In wasted conversations
You took away my happiness
And filled it with frustration.

You took me up to heaven
Then let me fall down from it's heights.
You let me think life was perfect
When it wasn't even all right.

You took away my chances
Of finding someone true
Because you let me believe
That Mr. Right was you.

You tore down all my walls
So now I have to rebuild.
You made me feel so bad
That I carried all the guilt.

But now that I don't care
I'm standing so you'll see
You will never take another,
Not one more piece of me.

Unwritten

Unwritten was the script into my naive heart,
It was anyone`s game, but you took on the part;
And I must admit, you did do your job well,
You stuck by my side through all the pain and hell.

And Baby, you got the looks but you`re not smart;
Because now we`re broken and drifting apart,

You got an iron-clad grip on my young heart,

A Rondeau is a French form, 15 lines long, consisting of three stanzas: a quintet, a quatrain, and a sestet with a rhyme scheme as follows: aabba aabR aabbaR. Lines 9 and 15 are short - a refrain (R) consisting of a phrase taken from line one. The other lines are longer (but all of the same metrical length).

Silent Movies

These silent movies play through my aching mind:
Two teenagers in love, their naive hearts combined;
And chaotic heartbeats pick up speed and they race.
As smiles, real smiles, are glued to their face;
Baby, the soundtrack to this movie`s soft and slow,
Playing a melody that only we know;
A guitar strumming to the words that you said,
And all these midsummer eves play through my head.
Through it all, it was me and you; we held on,
And now I can`t help but notice that you`re gone.
These silent movies play through my aching mind:
Two teenagers in love, their naive hearts combined.

And chaotic heartbeats pick up speed and they race.
As smiles, real smiles, are glued to their face;
With words once said, now gone forever and lost,
I swear that I`ll get you back at any cost.
Polaroids are pasted over the walls of us,
But the edges are folding, turning to dust;
Because that`s what I am now, nothing to you,
I`m just a pile of dust that you swept right through,
And a goodbye would have been nice; I must admit,
But those hopes are high for one who can`t commit.
These silent movies play through my aching mind:

If Youre Gonna Jump

If you're gonna walk a thousand miles
At least bring good walking shoes
If you're gonna gamble day and night
You better have the money to lose

Life is too short too have it all ready
Each moment falling into place
Still carry a map to help you out
Like a runner with courses to race

If they're gonna fight, then be prepared
To defend when you've fallen down
If they're gonna critisize your every move
Prepare to lose your crown

Everyone has enemies, and same with friends
But enemies wont help you stand
So if you're gonna jump, just make sure
You have a safe place to land
