What do you have to do

I have been on this site for a while and i was just wondering what you have to do to get to know people on here and how you get people to add you to your favorites etc, i have been on for like ages and i only have like 2 or 3 friends. just wondering how to get more friends and how you get people to add you to their favorites? if you can help.

Well, in my opinion the best thing you can do to get more friends etc, is to be active on the discussion boards.

I usually only read the poetry of people that I find interesting in the forums, as I reason that if the write intelligent insightful forum posts, then the chances are higher that they will write intelligent insightful poems.

This is not always true, but you have to stack the odds at every opportunity.

Alternatively, you can bribe me and I will introduce you to all the movers and skakers, you can be my new student, my genius discovery.

The bribe must be sufficient however, and that is the first test.

Well one thing you have to learn Nikki, is that to get to know more people here, you have to actually talk to them...It's quite easy...

Most of the people here are quite nice, and many of them are intelligent..But if you want to know people. Make a thread to introduce yourself and share your interests on the friendship thread, that is a great way to meet people who have similar interests.

Now on the matter to get people to add you to their favorites. Sorry but that is their own choice. People add others they like as a person or they add them because they love their poetry...

Now poetry is a difficult subject because everyone has their own style in writing their poems. But one thing you should do is to keep on learning the basics of poetry to improve the writing of your poems.

Other than that Nikki, your personality will make you well liked...And from what I see, you will definitely be a pivotal member on P&Q.

Yeah - Id have to agree... I only tend to read people's poetry if I enjoy what they have to say on the site - if I feel that I can relate or agree (or disagree) with what they have to say then I will read their work. There are too many people on this site to just go through randomly reading people's work... and some people try by private messaging you out of the blue, that generally doesn't work tho. I'd rather read a person's poetry because Im interested in that person.

Other than that - just make friends. Be friendly. Get on here often and go around chatting to people - eventually people will get to know you and you form friendships - and what better way to bounce ideas and poetry around than off a friend! :)

Join a club and be active in it

Just get people to read ur poems and if they like them and they like you they will add you to there favorites, i have like 11 people who have added me and i dont even have the award for it yet

I guess I am not insightful enough for Kevin to read my poetry. Damn.

How to meet people...well, I'd say the Chat but that's been down for ages. I guess post a lot on the discussion boards without following the crowd. State YOUR opinions and you'll get attention for being "different." All we need on this website is a few more followers. Anyway, good luck.
