1. Can be about any Final Fantasy
2. It's okay if it's long, just not TOO short
3. Doesn't need to be new.
4. Have fun! This shouldn't be work
5. Must reserve a place

7. Every contestant can post 1-2 poems

Driving Down The Road

Driving down the road with a smile on my face
A tear runs down my cheek as I look up so amazed
Never in my lifetime did I imagine I'd really be...
Entering the state of Arizona ~ one of my lifelong dreams.

Driving down the road with a smile on my face
This is even cooler then I imagined it to be
Red or course ~ convertible too, and yes, it's also a standard
It took me longer then I'd of liked, but a Mercedes I'm a driven!

Driving down the road with a smile on my face
Before my very eyes, the pounds start melting away...
My hair grows to the middle of my back ~ the gray all disappears
I notice I'm heading toward the ditch cause' I'm looking in the mirror.

Laughter and sobs escape me as reality sets in
I'm not in Arizona, driving a Mercedes, or thin and grayless
All fantasy...All a dream...Please take me back there again!

It Wasn't Meant To Be

My life was full of sorrow
Not a smile anywhere
The path to kill the horror
Includes a deed that is unfair

I knew my fate at once
My thoughts it always haunts
To destroy fear and hate
But face my horrid fate.

Had no reason for glee
And then you came to me
Floating in the see,
Smiling endlessly

I traveled far and long
You always came along
You fought by my side
Helped me take the ride

But you did not know
What gave the others woe
You did not know my destiny
My fate which would set Spira free

I loved you with all my heart
But we came from worlds apart
Then you discovered the whole truth
That I would never leave my youth

You couldn't believe it, it wasn't true
That I could never be with you
And then you fought with all your might
And it was you who brought the light

You saved my life, now I am free
And I will spend my life happy
But you told me the sad story
That I would live but you would leave.

Then I cried all of my tears
You had brought forth all my fears
I thought that you'd stay with me
But I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Yuna's Final Destiny

Throughout her whole life
She knew she was bound
To the one decision
That would a make a difference
To her, and to the whole world in turn.

Her father once a Summoner from Bevelle
Set out to successfully defeat Sin and bring the calm.
Her mother, an Al-Bhed and sister to Cid,
Loving, kind hearted, and who gave up her life
To be with the one person she loved more than anything.

It all ended too soon for young Yuna
As she was left alone in the cruel world.
But what she hadn’t realized,
was that it wasn’t over yet.
That there was still much more to live for.

She soon met Kimarhi, a Ronso, and established
Friendships with Wakka, Lulu and Chappu.
But it all came too soon, when Chappu
Would die from the battle between
The new Sin and the crusaders.

Yuna then decided that she would take away
All the pain and suffering that had been caused,
And she would become a Summoner,
Just as her late father had.
She would bring the calm and free everyone.
This would be her duty and final mission.

Lulu, Wakka and Kimahri would then follow as Guardians,
Vowing to protect Yuna until the very end.
It was then she realized that no matter how long or hard
The journey would be, She would have friends who would
Stay by her side, for comfort and to make lasting memories with.

Along the winding roads and tough terrain She met two men
one from her early childhood and the other, a stranger named Tidus.
Tidus would talk endlessly about his home Zanarkand
And how it was “The City that never sleeps”
The other, Sir Auron was a previous Guardian for Lord Braska.
Quiet and secretive, he was about the mission and nothing else.

Yuna traveled on, trying to keep a smiling face.
She laughed... cried.... smiled.... loved....and
Became a big impact on everyone’s lives,
Including the new addition by the name of Rikku.
She wanted this to last forever, but sadly knew
That with each footstep she took,
It was just another toward Sin.

The sacrifice she was willing to take
And the people she would leave behind
So many times did she want to turn back
But, her strength of spirit and determination
kept her going no matter the price.

Now she proceeds to Zanarkand...
With six guardians by her side...
With every passing moon,
She closes in on Sin...
All people of Spira now rest...
Relying on Yuna, hoping for the calm...

I ask a question to you now.
Answer in truth and with all your heart.
Do you believe in miracles?
Can one’s marked destiny be changed?
I will pray for her. Will you?
