Changing laws in britain

What do you all think of the new laws about thieves breaking into your house that may be put into operation in England? And could someone tell me exactly what it will entail because I'm not quite clear, thanks!

From what I know so far, I think that we should be allowed to protect our homes etc from thieves, therefore we should be alowed to attack people who tresspass.

Is it all about 'Reasonable Force', as to what that means even 'President' Blair doesn't appear to know.
But all I know is that if someone broke in 2 my house & threatned me & the family with a weapon/or not as the case maybe, then its fair game. I have a cricket bat under the bed which I'd use.

i wouldn't use weapon unless everyone was in danger you know. I might try anfd hit the person to get out or something but if i could avoid it i would.
