    Sluvious:

Clothes are an important tool in society, such as the clothes we wear to school, to work, at social functions etc...

If a woman work a skimpy bikini while attending a prestigious job interview...Do you think she'll get that job...I think not!

Now you may hold respect for the whole human kind, no matter who they are.

But respect comes from how you act, what you say, what you "WEAR", how you talk, what school/university you been to...etc.

You're again looking at this from a emotive perception...Lol

Hey Bob have you ever heard of this:
a good inside usually is good outside

i will ask you and please answer this: if a woman visit your house and she was wearing bikini what is your expression about her?

i never said that my only judgment about the others will be cloths but your first expression about any person will be how he look and act....tell me if i am wrong?

    ^^ Umm... it was a joke. :)

But I also dont believe you should judge a book by its cover... you cant judge someone by what clothes they're wearing etc - sure it can help form a first impression and those first impressions can be lasting, but its just another form of prejudice really...

But in total honestly - who cares? I mean who really gives a shit what other people think of you anyway? Just be who you want to be and wear whatever you want to wear - all this talk about tolerance etc - if you dont want to be tolerant then thats your perogative... and if you dont accept that then you're as intolerant as anyone.

    Sigh...
you guys just don't get it do you?

so if i was walking in the street and i saw a girl wearing a normal cloths but her ass and breast were uncover and she was acting normal i will just say i shouldn't judge on this girl she might be a godd one...
give me a break...i will repeat what i said before, HUMAN LOOK GIVE YOU AN IMPRESSION ABOUT WHO IS HE BUT LIKE I SAID I AGIAN its not necessary to be correct

i got reallly tired of this lol, so if anyone wants really to talk to me just email me so we can talk on msn another time...peace

So if I were to see a guy wearing girls knickers... and they were all in a twist... what would I think??

Umm... I probably wouldn't go talk to them on msn... if thats what you're trying to prove...

READ my post dude - it says they form first impressions. Of course they do - and thats what you're trying to get across - you see someone wearing something and you immediately form a first impression - but that doesn't have to be your final and lasting impression of that person does it now?

Chill out - why does everyone always get so heated in debates??

I'm nowadays reading a book named 'God's birthday' and it is kind of amazing about my religion
I know the title seems so awkward and it describes a guy's diaologue with God on msn..it is weird too..

but the author didn't write this book to tease..to prove the things we do wrong in our religion..the sentences in qouran that we misunderstand..that we create a moslim culture that really isn't meant to be occured..

some sentences in it are only for the Mohammed's time not ours..I was just so confused about my religion before I started to read this book..but it really changed my image of religion

I would strongly advise this book but it's in Turkish..if some day it translates to another languages..It would be good if you read it
And it's not about which religion you choose;I sometimes read books about christ,jew,buddhism,satanism...etc..to have info too

    Anyway that's it
    That book made me question

"Lol, you're the one dealing with it emotionally, your statements hold no validity at all, if you respect someone for what they wear then are you really respecting them or their attire, the statements are so ridiculous they really aren't even worth my time trying to help you understand the value of respecting an individual for who they are rather than what they wear....You are the same type of person who would see a homeless person dressed in tattered clothes and totally discount them, when in fact that may be the same man who would save your life in a heartbeat, he may be the same man who fought in real wars for your civil rights, then again he could just be another bum by your definition.......anyhow you win, keep respecting designer clothes, it only makes you as synthethic as the material used to make them...."

This post is probubly going to be all over the place, but let's see if I can explain this...

Women who dress modestly are generally respected more, because they give the impression that they respect themselves. Do you think a woman who walks down the street half naked really respects herself? Chances are she's doing it for attention, and that attention usually ends up being the wrong kind, which is disrespectful.

I, personally, am not a Muslim, and I do not wear the hijab, but the purpose of the hijab (please, correct me if I am wrong) is so that a woman will not receive the 'wrong' kind of attention from a man and wearing it, in a way, demands respect from them. That is what I respect. Women as a whole should be respected a whole lot more than what they are. I think if every woman started to dress more modestly they would get it, because it gives the impression that they respect themselves; it has nothing to do with brand names.

Just my opinion, though, but of course this conversation can go in so many different directions, so I'm just going to stop here. Sorry in advance if I have offended anyone :)

I believe because God has gotten me through things that I would have never pulled myself out of and I have a tremendous faith for it...

you guys are talking about religion here, and this goes especially for Christianity. i consider myself a Christian but I'd rather not consider myself religious at all.

I have an intimate relationship with my creator and thats what Christianity is all about. "its about a relationship not a religion" I have spoken to God, felt his presence and witnessed his healing touch and thats all I need, not a word to associate my beliefs with.

yet I still question the truth in him no matter how much faith I have. we're human, we're imperfect its in our nature to be unsure of what we believe.

    ...oops i forgot this part

God wants us to choose to follow him. and that freedom of choice has become our downfall. This is the beauty of the diversity of religion in this world though, out of all the religions out there you can choose and we're not forced to become mindless robots that do whatever God makes us do. I think this is why we question our religion...

Yeah, it's okay to doubt, becuase doubt is the beginning of wisdom. I learned a lot. Now I don't question my belief. I am on the right track, despite what the world may say to us. I will always be a BELIEVER OF CHRIST.

    I don't have a religion to question.
    But I question everything.
    Even my own statements sometimes.

I believe in God,and I question everything! but doesn`t the Bible say"make sure of all things ,hold fast to what is fine" wouldn`t that be welcoming questioning?I`ve never felt I have to defend my own personal beliefs. I think people have a right to have their own set of values and if they believe homosexuality is wrong that is their right, however they have no right to try to impose them on others. I think self riteous hypocritical attitudes are from man not God, and have the exact opposite effect of what many say they are trying to do which is to turn people to God.

I believe that if haven't questioned at least something in your life, especially your FAITH, then you are a sheep, and i don't mean one of the flock that follows jesus, i mean the kind of sheep that will blindly follow anything and have no mind of their own....evreyone has a faith in something i believe, it just takes some people longer than others to figure out exactly who or what that is...
so those who don't know...i wish you luck on your quest....

I am Agnostic yet spiritual (but not religious), believe in Science, & live by nature. I don't have a particular religion which I contribute or reside to, I have no favorites; in my mind no one religion is right nor wrong ither. I enjoy learning more & participating in various religions; I'm--as they say--a ''Shopping Cart'' (someone who has multiple religious values). I have a practical attitude towards religion and everything associated with it; like God, gods, goddesses, etc.

I don't know what'll become of my spirit & intellect when my body dies--Surprise me! I believe the existence of (a deity of some kind) is inconclusive. Not saying that I don't believe in the existence of them! I believe there is a reasonable explanation for the supernatural we consider to be ''miracles'' from these deities, but I also like to think about the possibilities of the supernatural. Though, I do believe in angels and demons. I don't know if I'll go to ''Heaven'' or ''Hell'', or if I even believe that those two worlds exist, be it a pleasant & mind easing thought. If they do I believe Heaven & Hell is what you make of it; a place, experience, etc., that makes you happy, peaceful, relaxed (Heaven), or that gives you the most grief, sadness, hate, (Hell). I even believe in reincarnation; coming back as another person or animal.

I think that religions are just opinions, ideas, theories, etc., thought up to inspire confidence in oneself, to conquer or tame their fears of death and other unmentionables, or as excuses whether they're on the right path or not, know what they are doing, what they want to do or where they're going, if they've made the right choice or not or if they committed a wrong. Whatever the excuse, it is a nice thought--I agree--the concepts of religion.

I believe gods &/or goddesses, as well as their ways of life, are a blend of erratic ''borrowed'' thoughts, ideas, opinions, morals, rituals, superstitions, traditions, etc., which were collected over the years from a number of different sources; religions admired, the surrounding nations & the countries conquered (just like today). God (or however you refer to your higher self) is not an entity; not an almighty physical being, he is a soul; a spiritual guide. He inspires confidence, endorses morals, brings hope, & more (but he is not a form of discrimination)! God can be who ever you want him to be & refer to him however you like; man or women, “white” or “black” or any other form of skin color, race or nation, as a spirit, as “God”, “The Creator”, or any other name from a different culture, etc. They all represent us, they all represent each other, they all represent the same notion.
