Friends?

I was just wondering, do you guys think it's a good idea to remain friends with a guy you just broke up with, or will that prevent you from getting over him?

Do u need to get over him ? did it hurt to break up or is it for the better?
i mean how deep were u 2?
or did u just go out with him for awhile and realize it wouldn't work that way? if thats the case be friends

Well, i can tell you, it seems i always date a guy, and when it don't work out, we're seriously like best friends. all my besties are ex's. so i think it's okayy.

if you still care about him a lot and WANT to get over him... dont be great friends.. wait a little while, then be friends again
but if you started off friends in the first place, tried things out, it didnt work... then be friends

Well for me personally I haven't been able to stay friends with my only ex =p For that matter I can't bring myself to be friends with either him or the girl he left me for =p I think that even if I could manage it, it would make things harder =p

I have been able to be somewhat friends with the guy I was involved with before him though even though it's been really rough at times and I'm almost ready to tell him off lols But it's been over 5 months since he broke my heart lols

I guess it depends on how you still feel about him after the breakup, how the breakup happened and why, how involved you were with him emotionly and how forgiving you are lols
