It's happening, and whatever you do, it will ALWAYS happen. It's just how life has come to be and you've got to accept it, change the things you have a chance at, like charity working etc, but some things don't change, and focusing on them will only make you another depressed being.

I agree that media and stereotypes, judgmental people and name calling, racism and hatred effect young children and teenagers to make them sadist, mental, murderers, rapists etc, and overweight people or black or white people in the opposites society can be tough, but it is also to do with parenting. If they knocked some TRUTH into their kids, some discipline yet some self esteem, there'd be a healthy balance.

I had this discussion with my parents today, they didn't even think I was right. It was like they were teenagers all over again defending themselves. If parents were more strict with their children and gave them rules, and actually still hit them in teenage years when they had done something wrong, (no, not abuse) do you think they'd go out to parties and get drunk? Do drugs and have sex? No, if there were actual consequences to their actions, they wouldn't. Parents these days don't seem to take the stand, and force their opinions more than the media does. More than the bullying.

It all goes hand in hand with each other. Some things won't go away, it's if you can ignore them that you get anywhere.

You have, the most beautiful mind. There is a person I can fall in love with anytime. Beautiful. Well said.

as you can see by this def. there is NO such thing as perfection in this world. Why would the world be created on perfection, and normalities? How boring of a world would that be? I say embrace who you are. and TRY your hardest to ignore the 'crap'! Don't let people run your life. Don't let people get to your soul. A wise peson once told me. to shrink the 'crap'. and BLOW UP the GOOD.

It's lovely to make you think, but pretty much impossible. Conflict is in human nature. People will always have something to fight about. And we are not without faults, people will always be trying to better themselves, in turn making everyone else want to better THEMselves. And then you get to someone who just can't. And they go to desprite measures, and that's what happens to them.

For God's sake lighten up, there's no point making irreleavnt little statements like that to bring everybody down with you. Reality sucks because you make it suck. Do something about it and it won't. It's not as simple as it seems, yeah, but eventually things get better.
But only for the people who have the effort and strength to do something about their 'suckish' lives.

People commit suicide because they can't cope with their emotions and life anymore so they want to end it all.
People cut to relieve themselves and focus on the physical pain instead of the emotional pain, because again, it's too much for them to handle.
People become bulimic and anorexic because they have an illness/disorder where they think they're overweight when they're not. When they look in the mirror they see fat that isn't there. It's a mental illness that they can't control, and they think it's the only thing in their life they have any say over, so they do it to the point where it could be life risking.
People get depressed because we live in a judgmental world where everything has become more hard and frightening for teenagers and they can't deal with the amount of stress being put on them, and the drugs seem one of the only ways out.
Girls act like 'sluts' to 'impress' guys, because they've probably had their hearts broken so many times, that's the only way they get even the slightest bit of affection.
People can't openly show whether they're lesbian, bi or homosexual for fear of being abused or judged because other people have been raised Christian and don't think it's natural, or there are bashers out there who can beat them up, abuse them, and even murder them. They fear their parents reactions as though it's some huge let down, when really it just makes you the person you are.
Because freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom of speech anymore, some people DO speak up and make the effort, and it's not listened to. Some people don't have enough support to get their voice listened to. And some 'freedom of speech' is just abusing what 'freedom of speech' means because they want to give the world an offensive message. Such as racism, hatred etc.

So now we know, posting this on MySpace and poetry sites, as much as we might think we're helping, posting threads and bulletins won't do a thing. Because we read it, re-post thinking, well I've done my worlds favour, and it just doesn't do **** all.

Is she doing anything wrong by wanting to change our country for the better? America is a pretty sick place, and I think one person trying to make a positive point far outweighs all of your bashing. I want to see ONE thread where Angelina and/or anyone else does NOT attack the poster. Maybe the poster of this topic is ignorant, maybe she isn't the brightest crayon in the box...but she's not doing anything wrong and she does not deserve to be dragged down. Our country, along with most countries, is filled with crap...but when someone tries to stand up and fight for the smallest amount of change...someone is always standing by, ready to shoot them back down.
