How do you deal with it?

    Hey everybody, just wondering how you deal with your stress or depression. I'm willing to bet most of you write but have you ever felt so bad that you can't even manage to scribble a few letters on a piece of paper? When that happens, how do you deal with it. My girlfriend didn't quite approve of my way of doing it so i'm trying to come up with a new method. Any suggestions? Anything would be much appreciated. Thank you all

    Well how do you normaly deal with it ?

    I don't get depressed . My "sadness" always ends up turning into anger . It's what I normally feel besides boredom . When I'm stressed though , to the point where I can't just sit and be like whatever, I end up breaking things and breaking in my wall and smashing mirrors x) Or I take it out on kicking at our cherry tree, or punching my dad (He doesn't mind -.- He uses me, so I use him but I don't reccomend that xD) .

    When I'm feeling depressed, I usually can't write at all. It's like the words won't escape me and I just sit there staring at a blank paper wishing I could everything get out.

    That's when I put on music, and find something to do. Anything. Whether it's organizing my room or putting pictures in a scrapbook... whatever I can think of. Just something that will keep me busy, because if I run out of things to do then I'm reminded of what hurt me so bad in the first place.

    Um bad for me, but smoking a menthol. Calms my nerves anough to write to get my emotions out.

    I let myself cry it out, plus I cry easy anyway. Then I listen to music tht matches my mood and if really bad, i sing to the music.
    And if all else fails....I try to fall asleep, then wake up later and I feel a little better.

    I deal with stress by writing, not necessarily poetry. Sometimes it's easier to just write a journal entry, because you don't have to worry about your choice of words.

    Also, recently, I've started running. It would amaze you how great it can make you feel, and how much it can calm you down enough to think clearer.

    I deal with stress in depression by just letting it out.
    Crying. yelling anything ot release the presure the pain puts in your chest from being stressed or depressed. Writing is hard to do in some cases when your that deep in.

    Cutting. and then I feel f***ed up and write things, draw things and when I feel really bad I cut again... then I'm done and act like nothing ever happened and play games with my brother

    I play cards with my siblings..it's weird but it actually keeps my mind off and I don't stress out as much after.

    I go and have a shower when i am stressed sure it may waste a heap of water and take up to an hour of a day bt it settles me down form how upset i can get or how frustrated.

    he straightens things out for me \
    and makes me feel better for myself

    Talking to the people who i know care about me. and going out with my friends and having a good time. writing poetry or short stories. doing volunteer work, helping others, listening to music. lots of things. just find something that appeals to you

    I listen to music.
    Music has helped me through so much shit.
    and thats about it.
