DO you believe in love at first sight??

I was just wondering,
do you guys believe in love at first sight? or is it just lust or infatuation?

i'm interested in everyone's point of view =]

I don't believe in love at first sight. I believe you can lust for someone though. Love is a very deep word that is misused in many aspects. You have to REALLY KNOW someone before you can LOVE them.

I don't believe in love at first sight. I believe in infatuation at first sight and esp lust. I think people confuse lust and love.

I think you can be intrigued by someone at first sight with a desire to get to know them. You can love the way a person is (their personality). Love at first sight is just a fantasy.

Ugh, you can meet somebody, get to know them and then love them, which is the closest you can get. But no, you can't fall in love at first sight. It's a nice metaphor but nothing more.

To actually LOVE somebody you need to KNOW them, saying you love somebody you've never met and it's actually happened to you or a friend is ridiculous.

(It's creepy how I've just realised me and some other girl capitalised that you need to 'KNOW' someone to 'LOVE' them.)

I don't believe in love at first sight, well at least for me I don't... But maybe for other people maybe... But then as everyone else said maybe it's just lust, infatuation ^_^... I think it's takes time and getting to know someone to fall in love and be in love...

If you see a person for the first time and have a strong feeling towards them, it's just based on looks... That's not even close to loving them.

Yes i agree with you guys..i personally have never believed in 'love at first sight'
and yes i do think you need to KNOW someone to LOVE them. lol. i guess those are just the key words.

Me too, I don't believe in love at first sight.. Love is developed in a long process, not with just a snap of a finger. It's impossible.. It's only infatuation..

I dont believe that you can fallin love with someone at first sight except if that person is your child.. Most of what me think is love is not.. Its just lust and infatuation.. People dont fallin love with someone at first sight, I mean you can be attracted to that person, you may even love their personality, but trust me thats not Love its Lust

But I do have to say that you CAN feel a connection in your heart with someone when you first look them in the eyes lols When I think of love at first sight thats what i think of but I'm still waiting for that lols

I belive that you really have to get to know the person before you begin to fall in love with them. You have to connect on a deeper level than just sight.

Noo i believe in lust at first site....people are different when u get to no them u may think u love them when u see them, but there personality could be completely different to what u expected

I don't think you can fall in love at first sight, fall because of lust perhaps but not love. Love arises; develops & grows, gradually from something rather than from nothing suddenly.

^ha. HAHAHAHA. what a load of. suck it up, kidda. that wasn't LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. that was 'oh, he's cute, i'll get to know him, oh look, after a week so it is now immediately not first sight we're dating and we shouldn't even be in love by ONE WEEK'.
