This site cannot count...

As I understand it from some other posts, the awards are given by Janis when he is able to go through records. It doesn't seem to necessarily be an automatic process performed by the coding.

dw Morgan. Im waiting on probably 2 awards miself. I do agree that some people dont check a poem because of others status- i know that is wrong- i dont do it- because i know how it feels- but when people see a page with a whole bunch of poems, there is going to be a difference somepeople are looking for, whether it be a good name oor an award- it is just unfortunatly the way it is.

that is sad that you would only read peoples poems who have a lot of awards. i think the awards are stupid.

I think its sad that you will only read peoples that has awards on it. I mean yeah I have all blue awards, but still. I know a lot of people who don't have awards but they have very good poems. It doesn't matter about the awards the only thing that matters is there poems.

Yeah, yeah... I'm waiting for a silver "C". However, awards should mean nothing. I know plenty of really good poets that only have a bronze "C" or something...

Whereas you have a valid point, if you read my post correctly, I said "They don't matter" (paraphrased). I was looking at it from the standpoint, that awards shouldn't stop a person from looking at your poetry (ie. if you only have one "c" award, then that shouldn't stop someone from reading your poetry).
Anyway...

i can tell you all as a new nobody on this site,
high award writers were the first ones i did look
at. thinking these must be the best ones. i know now that's not true cause new members have great
poems too, they just haven't got a lot of votes
or comments yet. even older members with no
awards have great poems. what i am saying is
awards did help a nobody writer like myself.
