Hi to all of you reading my message!
I have a question: does age matter at all when you're in love? Would you turn someone down just because he/ she is too young or too old for you?

If its 35 and 40, or even 45 perhaps. it doesnt make such a big difference.

try working with the same gap for younger years, like 15 and 20, or 25...or even 13 and 17....you really dont want that.

    So, its relative.

I suppose you wouldn't want to turn down if it's really love.
but then again there's always complications when it comes to big age differences...so you have to be careful about that.

I would turn down someone too young or too old, age is a large factor.

It depends on the age difference and at what ages. Some people are just not ready for relationships with older people. Once someone has matured and fully developed then sure it's okay to date someone older than you. You have to reach that part of life though. For teenagers though you should stick to within 2 or 3 years of your own age. If not it's only going to cause more problems than it's even worth.

When i was 13, i dated someone who was 20. i know it sounds disgusting, yea.
we were very much so in love, but we had too much distance between us [im in NY, hes not even in america]
yes, he visited me sometimes, but it was just better to end it.
    however,
my mindset has never been at my age... at 13 it was at the mindset of a 16, 17 year old, thanks to my raising... at 15 its roughly 18 or 19..depending on the situation.
but in most cases, that age gap would just be wrong.

    ..

you may have been in love, but sweetheart, he wasn't. now i guess that would be slightly okay, still not really that acceptable in my opinion, if you were 16 etc. but 13, and he's a paedophile. i don't care what you say, what you KNOW you felt, what would he want to do with a freaking thirteen year old? you were ONE YEAR into your teens. LAST YEAR you would've been TWELVE. in my mind that's hardcore paedophilia. and any normal 20 year old would think that was disgusting. because it IS. it IS disgusting.

If the love is shared, no, age doesn't matter. But in most age gapped relationships, there is love lacking at one end.

I wouldn't date anyone no more than 2 yrs younger than me... but not so much right now being 19. I guess I'll date someone up to at least 5 yrs older.
    Age matters fot me personally.

I'm 17 and my girlfriend is 14 and a half... I turn 18 in october and she turns 15 at the end of January... at THIS age, that's about the biggest gap I'll go.. buuut.. we're in love, and I know that sounds kinda like "ya whatever" to alot of you but it's true.... In the older years?.. hey a 35 and a 45 year old doesn't seem so bad... 15 and 25?.. maybe.... depends on the people to tell ya the honest truth.
