Get rid of the 90 second rule

This thing annoys me so much because it doesn't take that long to read most of the poems on here. I think it's a good idea but cut it down to like 40 - 60 seconds

not necessarily Sarah. I agree that reading through the poems is important, but sometimes I comment on a bunch of poems, forget to vote, go back, then realize I can't vote on them in a timely matter. It is sort of bothersome.

I too don't like the 90 sec rule because thats right, you can read a poem, vote then read another one under 90 secs.

About the 90 Second Rule --Get Rid Of It

why is there even a 90 second rule anyway? to stop people from constantly rating poems bad? well it looks like there is already something about how they can tell if you are purposely rating poems bad, so the 90 second thing doesn't do anything but annoy the he** out of me

How about back to the topic about the 90 second rule. Its around to keep people from "spam voting" ones.

    1. I think the rating system is crap as
    a. most people vote 5s
    b. most people don't pay attention

    2. I do think that if we keep the rating system, there should be a brief timelimit to make things inconvienient to all those who vote without thinking.

    3. I think it should be less than 30 seconds though.

The 90 rule is annoying... I agree with Sarah, tho, that people should read the poem, and understand it, instead of just glazing over the words. However, I am a fast reader, and some poems are four or five lines long. I'm sorry, but I just can't sit there and stare at a small poem like that for 90 seconds, and beat it to death in my head. Maybe I'm impatient, or maybe the 90 second rule really IS annoying...

Sorry...hope no one gets mad... I deleted some posts that were off topic (including one of my own)

I do agree that the 90 second rule should either be greatly reduced or done away with completely

i agree that is really a great ideal.

i always write a short comment before voting, therefore the 90 seconds go by. i think it\'s nice to vote and comment together. though i admit i dont always have anything to say, or dont have time, but want to vote and it can be anoying, so i think a 30 second limit would better.

Toss it. What good does it do anyways?

Since you can't vote and comment at the same time, I sometimes forget to vote and when I remember to vote, I try to do all the ones I forgot very quickly but I can't because of the rule so that makes me not vote. I don't tihnk this makes any sense.

Don't get rid of it completely but reduce it to at least 60 seconds. 30 would be better thou.

I think I noticed that the other day. I voted on a poem, and was able to quickly vote again. I don't think I noticed it too much, but it's nice to know about that now! Thanx!
