Why can't we be imperfect? i dont understand... why we must be perfect in a world where no one is, why you must point out peoples every imperfection, we all do it...i know we do...maybe next time we should think before we speak?why do we kill eachother? it's pointless, you want to shoot someone because they have a different view than you, or are wearing a color you were taught to hate, why must you do this, why is it that everyday people die from gang violence, its perventable, and its stoppable, you're just not willing to try.why do we label eachother? clothes dont come with a sticker that says who can wear them, you talk shit about a certain "label" because they dress, act, speak different than you, when in reality you could be best friends with one of those people, you're just not willing to try..why do teen mothers get harrassed? personally i think its the bravest thing a teenage girl can do. She is brave enough to be willing to give up things for her child. She is brave enough to carry a baby full term instead of getting an abortion like you would. Pretty much every teenager is having sex...it could be you, choose your words carefully next time.why do you hit her to prove you love her? you hurt her more emotionally then physically when you hit her, you make her feel like she's nothing, you think you're cool that you can kick her when shes down you think you're soo awesome dont you, you're fucking her up, not just physically, you're fucking her up, shes never going to trust another man again. get over youself.why cant we just be ourselves? maybe people dont want to be like you can you accept that? maybe we shouldn't judge people who dont listen to the same music, wear the same clothes, speak the same language, it doesn't give you the right to make fun of them.why does color matter? could you honestly say that you would buy a box of crayons that were only your favorite color, what fun would that be, how could you make a picture with one color, there would be nothing different, nothing would go right, everything would be the same...People fought so hard for the right to not be segregated yet we act like we should be.why do you make fun of people with special needs? NEWS FLASH its not their fault they're different. ITS NOT CONTAGIOUS so stop acting like it is, stop acting like they dont have feelings stop acting like they are some sort of alien. They aren't they can hear every word you say, they can see every look you give them, do you think they want to be like that? they don't. What if you're little brother or sister had a learning disorder? would you make fun of them, i didnt think so.why is being gay soo wrong? THEY are real people, real people who have the same feelings, REAL people who want to fall in love, SO WHAT if they fall in love with someone of the same sex, We should listen to Chris Crocker..."how can an inatimite object be gay?" stop teaching your family members, the kids you babysit, that saying "that's gay" is right...it isn't.Why is fighting in the war so wrong? these people are protecting your life. They are protecting the way you live. They fight the battles you're not willing to. Just because someone in your family isn't in the war, doesn't mean other peoples aren't. Just because you don't see what they are really fighting for doesn't mean they arent fighting for whats right. They are risking their lives to save other peoples, Stop judging them.
    So stop think...

Would you rather we all looked the same, talked the same, wore the same clothes, listened to the same music, had the same views, were the same color, knew the same things?Q:what kind of world would it be?

A:....a very very very boring one...

All I'm asking for is peace?, even if i only reach a few people,
a few people can make a world of difference.

    "Why can't we be imperfect?"
I think that striving to improve yourself is something that can improve and change your life, and just being content with the way things are isn't always the best way to handle things. I don't think anyone is perfect, or will be, but I do think we can all get less imperfect if we try.

"i dont understand... why we must be perfect in a world where no one is, why you must point out peoples every imperfection, we all do it...i know we do...maybe next time we should think before we speak?"
Plenty of people think before they speak; a lot of the time people say mean things because they intend to, not on accident.

"why do we kill eachother? it's pointless, you want to shoot someone because they have a different view than you, or are wearing a color you were taught to hate, why must you do this, why is it that everyday people die from gang violence, its perventable, and its stoppable, you're just not willing to try."
Though it may be preventable, it isn't easy to prevent. People born into a life where they know nothing but strife and violence sometimes have a hard time escaping from it. Not like that's an excuse, more like a reason for why it's hard. Also, though I don't personally condone the death penalty, some people feel that there are individuals that are too dangerous and have committed crimes so heinous that they should not be left alive. That, I think, doesn't have anything to do with the reasons you listed for why killing is pointless.

"why do we label eachother? clothes dont come with a sticker that says who can wear them, you talk shit about a certain "label" because they dress, act, speak different than you, when in reality you could be best friends with one of those people, you're just not willing to try.."
It's easy, and doesn't take much time. If there's one thing people like to do, it is to classify things, to put things into categories. I mean look at biology, from the domain-> phylum-> class-> order-> family-> genus-> species thing...I mean that level of classification wasn't even enough for us, we had to break it up into 'sub-phyla,' etc. People stereotype and label because they don't care enough to get to know every single person they have to interact with in their lives, and would rather truncate the whole process by making generalizations. It's not a good thing, but that's one of the reasons why it happens.

"why do teen mothers get harrassed? personally i think its the bravest thing a teenage girl can do. She is brave enough to be willing to give up things for her child. She is brave enough to carry a baby full term instead of getting an abortion like you would. Pretty much every teenager is having sex...it could be you, choose your words carefully next time."
Harassed? I don't harass them. I simply believe that in a lot of cases having the baby is a sign of bad judgment or unfortunate circumstances. This isn't just about the girl 'sacrificing' herself for her child, her child is getting screwed over too, most of the time. Many teenage mothers don't have steady incomes, and often aren't in steady relationships. It is much harder to adequately provide for a child when you're young, not to mention teenagers often have issues as far as being able to cope with the emotional stress that caring for a child entails. So I don't harass teenage mothers, I discourage teenagers from having children. Waiting, in my opinion, is a much better idea. As far as teenage sex goes, I don't think that's the big problem here. I think safe sex and responsibility are the issues at hand, and they need to be worked on, for sure.

"why do you hit her to prove you love her? you hurt her more emotionally then physically when you hit her, you make her feel like she's nothing, you think you're cool that you can kick her when shes down you think you're soo awesome dont you, you're fucking her up, not just physically, you're fucking her up, shes never going to trust another man again."
I don't hit her. People who hit their partners are not good people, and need to be separated from those they hurt. They need psychiatric help, most of the time, too.

"get over youself.why cant we just be ourselves? maybe people dont want to be like you can you accept that? maybe we shouldn't judge people who dont listen to the same music, wear the same clothes, speak the same language, it doesn't give you the right to make fun of them.why does color matter? could you honestly say that you would buy a box of crayons that were only your favorite color, what fun would that be, how could you make a picture with one color, there would be nothing different, nothing would go right, everything would be the same...People fought so hard for the right to not be segregated yet we act like we should be.why do you make fun of people with special needs? They aren't they can hear every word you say, they can see every look you give them, do you think they want to be like that? they don't. What if you're little brother or sister had a learning disorder? would you make fun of them, i didnt think so."
We already sort of went over this, but people label for the reason I mentioned above. As far as the mentally challenged go... I think most people respect the feelings of those that are mentally challenged... I'm not sure who this is geared toward. I mean, of course there are assholes who might laugh at someone who is mentally challenged... but why would they be reading a post on a poetry site anyway?

"why is being gay soo wrong? THEY are real people, real people who have the same feelings, REAL people who want to fall in love, SO WHAT if they fall in love with someone of the same sex, We should listen to Chris Crocker..."how can an inatimite object be gay?" stop teaching your family members, the kids you babysit, that saying "that's gay" is right...it isn't."
I don't think being gay is wrong. There are some people who think it's unnatural, but that's their problem, and they should stay out of the business of other people. As a sidenote: not all homosexuals are out to fall in love, there are plenty (just like heterosexuals) that just want to get down and dirty. That is also not my problem.

"Why is fighting in the war so wrong? these people are protecting your life. They are protecting the way you live. They fight the battles you're not willing to. Just because someone in your family isn't in the war, doesn't mean other peoples aren't. Just because you don't see what they are really fighting for doesn't mean they arent fighting for whats right. They are risking their lives to save other peoples, Stop judging them."
There aren't so many people that are against the troops; as the politicians like to say, "We're for the troops, but against the war." I have the utmost respect for those who are willing to die for their country, even if many consider the war stupid, pointless, and unjust. However, I think the greatest soldiers are the ones that are able to stand up and refuse an order they think is terribly wrong. After all, many Nazi war criminals insisted they were just 'following orders.' Not like I'm comparing the current war to WWII... just saying.

"So stop think... Would you rather we all looked the same, talked the same, wore the same clothes, listened to the same music, had the same views, were the same color, knew the same things?Q:what kind of world would it be? A:....a very very very boring one... All I'm asking for is peace?, even if i only reach a few people, a few people can make a world of difference."
I appreciate what you're trying to say, but things are going to have to improve a lot before we see anything like the peace you're talking about.

I am not saying it will happen. Stoping any of the neagative things in the world. I mean it would be nice. But then where would the balance be? No Where. And where would we be without the constant shift from good to bad? Who knows...
I just often love thinking about the ideals, of a better world...
Doesn't mean I nessarly (spl) want that to occur.

seriously, HON, posting this on here will never reach more than about 50 people; and even then you can't be sure you got your message across. this is just bleeding common sense, which isn't so common anymore, you're asking the questions nobody has answer to. some people just ARE rotten pigs, you can't help that, they just ARE the way they ARE. just like homosexuals, black people, who ARE they way they ARE, we can't change that some horrible people are horrible. we don't have the mind of murderers, so we can't say why they do it. because they have a mental disorder where it makes them feel good sexually, they're cruel, or the person they killed did something to them or a friend/family member. we still don't know how you work up the courage and think that's WHAT you are going to do that moment. these questions have a simple way out, but there's no simple answer to them. it's just the way that we've come along/grown up whatever. we can't stop abuse the other side of the world by 'HEARING THE MESSAGE', it's not as easy as it sounds. some things are untouchable. such as crappy governments, unknown abuse, racial criticism etc. you can't ask US the questions, and aim them all at us, like we're the ones being accused. you don't know if we've shouted abuse at somebody that isn't our race or religion, or if we hate gay people, or if we pick on people in stereotypes. maybe we have, but maybe we haven't. this really won't make much of a difference as much as anybody would hope it will. it won't stop somebody from being shot in a driveby shooting, a woman being knocked around the house or a teenager committing suicide due to bullying by asking 'why?'. nobody knows 'why?'. it just is.

it's a good message; but why don't you try and answer. imperfections can be perfection to somebody else. everybody has different taste and you're just naturally embarrassed these days to show off flaws without trying to hide them. labels will be grown out of when they're older, but only teenage labels; others are still applied. like 'i'm a single man with a petty job in it for myself so i'm going to shoot a man and leave his baby and wife stranded'. the world is imperfect, it has never been perfect, and it will never be perfect. go donate your allowance to some child abuse charity or something, but this won't make 1% of a difference to the world. it's just the way the world works.

And you're saying you don't NECESSARILY* want that to happen, that isn't really a good thing. you say that's your ideal world, yet you're not looking for it to happen. wellllllll, contradiction? i know it'd be harder to see what the difference between good and bad was in a perfect world, but isn't that the point? maybe there wouldn't be any bad so you didn't need to know the difference.

Oh and p.s. no offense to the top bit- and sorry i pointed out what you corrected in your above post. Like 'i don't think this is going to happen by passing this message along', i just can't be stuffed to change my original post :)

I agree with you 180%... school is suposed to teach children that we should like everyone equally. But before that can happen the parents get into their kids brain before school can start.... and before you know it... the kid is confused... and there fore has more emotional instablities.
