My Dream: "The End In 2010"

I had a dream last night. It was 2010 and the end of the world began.

It first started off with an earthquake around the world and it stopped in less than five minutes. Then 6-7 months gone by and all the oceans and the seas dried up, killing every sea creature. As days gone by, the world was in crisis. Everyone was crying and suffering. Then by the end of the year 2010. People started choking because the atmosphere started to collapse.

I tried to breathe but I couldn't. My vision got darker and darker and all I hear was my heartbeat, slowly beating, slowly dying.

    One..two...three...

Then I woke up screaming because man! I died!

    T~T it was scaaaaarryyyy...

    I've always figured 2010 or 2033 myself. But hey... : )

I'm sorry for your dream, though. I know they can be super intense, and stick with you long past your sleeping.

Ha ! I love dreams that actually have an affect on you waking up . Except for the crying ones -.-
I woke up laughing hysterically once (the dream was gorey, okay ?) -- before I got my own room a couple years ago . My parents stared at me like I was insane (:

Yeah, I have dreams like this but my last one was I dreamed I fell off a cliff and died, but I woke up and had fallen of my top bunk lol.

People have been dreaming the Apocalypse was near for two thousand years. I doubt we'd be so lucky as to be the right ones. The world isn't going to die until the sun does. Humans might nuke themselves to extinction but that's not at all very likely as we (all nations) are to careful to let that happen.

I've had end of the world dreams before. cept it was something like in the movies where an asteroid hit earth and water covered the earth. makes me kinda paranoid. =/

No...it's not like any other dream...It really felt real. Although...o.O it's strange that in just 8 hours of sleep, I managed to dream a whole year in the dream world. lol. no wait...T~T dying part, not fun...

XD thanks for telling me the dreams you guys had. >.> and I'd really love to have that 110 pound marshmellow.

T~T But I'm still afraid of the dying part...Everything just went black and then your hear your heartbeat beating until there was no more.....

O_O I think I just scared myself again.

lol, hopefully that dream will never happen. I'm too young!

ImTheLadiesChoice (modest much? :P) I've heard that about dreams too. My psych teacher said that if you die in your dream you'll die in real life. Something to do with your minds reaction or something. She was weird though, I doubt it's actually true.

If someone dreaming of dying...actually dies...how would we know that to be true? Ha, that's just funny.

Well hey if it's as early as 2010 i still have time to marry sibyline, hang out with mike in germany, take down a communist government with william, switch all of kevin's UK flags with american flags, ride horses with mo, and take away captain jane's liscense to piracy.

'I heard that your not suppose to die in a dream, that your suppose to wake up at the last second.'

I've read in several books that seeing to your death in a dream signifies a longer life. And to the quoted individual, I agree with the latter part of your post. I have dreamt numerous things of a negative agenda in my life; but I try not to engross myself in Dream books and such. They're corrupting my mind! Lol :)

Ooo - so now we're going to have a battle at the end of the world too? Interesting... I have weird and amazing dreams but I find it really hard to remember them once I've woken up - I remember them in finite detail when I first wake, and then about 10 minutes later POOF they're gone.

  • silvershoes

Have you ever had the one where you can run really fast and then fly for about 30 feet? Then when you wake up, you think it's true, so you try...but it wasn't true. Then you sit down and cry.

All in the dream of course.

In every single one of my dreams when i'm running away, what happens is it takes a long time for it to start up, i'm always running a corner and my feet come off the floor. i ain't flyin tho innit.

THEN i stop, and it takes forever to start again, and i'm obviously scared of what i'm running away from. it's sick!

i sometimes dream that i'm waking up all over and over again and i actually try to wake myself up from my sleep.

and then the worst is where you're falling until you wake up. like just falling to your death. it's gross, but i have a nightmare every night so WUTEVER.

I dreamt I was playing tug-o-war with the Minotaur of Crete and then we hijacked a Leopard 2 MBT and we drove around New York blowing up pizza delivery guys. So then the cops came because we're murdering those fellows and they were armed with super big pens. The Minotaur and I surrendered and they executed the Minotaur right on the spot. Then I appeared in my friends room and my girlfriend was there in a sexy outfit and we started making out and a bunch of midgets walked in and started playing with themselves while watching us. It was effed up.

  • sibyllene

^Hmm, I've had a minotaur dream as well. Or, well. More like the minotaur's father. It was a huge pure white bull, in the middle of a green and misty field. I walked up to it, and it knelt down and let me climb on it's back. Then we galloped away! Mwaha... the whole thing was very mythologically-intense feeling.

I have the force from starwars in all my dreams..ever since i was a child, even before I watched the films...

I had rather nasty nightmares as a wee one, and I learned to fly in my dreams and hold my hand out..and by concentrating I could push things away and make my dreams change into something nicer...

Basically I was lucid dreaming, consciously, I think by the time I was 10.

  • Anthony

Wow, that first one sounded like a realy great movie idea, lol but the second one was just odd? lol but I don't know maybe they both have some kind of odd meaning deep with in your sub-consince[sp].

My dreams are almost always really vivid, like the other night I dremt that some girl had my baby, but I never seen the mother, I guess that she died in labor or something, but I realy thought that I had a baby boy, and like I felt the joy and happiness and love and all, and I just couldn't wait till I could take into work to show him to all the girls lol.

T~T omg...I had that dream again, only much worser! I saw my family breaking down, crying and it made me cry. It was painful to see everyone cry. Because there was nothing to do but wait for death.......

Damn, I hope it will never happen!

    A bit negative are we?

heh i get it though, you're perspective makes sense, if you look at it like that it's logical.

but God wants us to choose to follow him, and live a good life for him, not slave after him.

I'm afraid you're not looking at all the aspects here.
True, hell exists in christianity, but it basically exists in every other religion, so why are you so hard on it existing for Christianity.
hell is a true place, its a morbid concept I know but the concept of hell is disconnection from God our creator, which brings suffering. not suffering itself.
but Jesus made it so we could have the chance to escape that, he made the ultimate sacrifice for us and all we have to do is accept it and believe in that fact.

as far as heaven goes, God wants a personal relationship with you. and the reason you are supposed to follow him is because he's you heavenly father, you're supposed to obey your parents, right?
and that intimate relationship with God is so amazing because when that day comes and you're standing before those gates, he'll recognize you and say "dude, welcome!" or w/e you want imagine.

Dark Christian, wow, I've never been as confident as you. You speak with such authority on the planes of heaven and hell, it's as if you have physically been there, you sound so certain.

Have you? Or have you read about them?

You also speak about what God wants with similar zeal, as if God himself told you directly all these things about how he wants us to live our lives?

Did he? Or have you read about them?

No offence meant my friend, just show a bit of humility and openess about the possibility that you don't know the first thing about anything divine. Just cause it's written down in an old book doesn't mean it's real.

I've read books and other stuff but these are my own opinions my friend.

"Heres my question. If judgment day is going to happen like God says it does in the bible. And if we have free will. Couldn't we technically all be christian and good people and no one would be punished on that day? Yet the day would still happen according the bible no matter what. So is this not a contridiction? A good athiest will go to hell but a bad christian will go to heaven."

I get this all the time.

you can go to church all you want, claim to be christian and still not have salvation.

if you're a good person, but an athiest than (I don't want to sound like a bad person so don't take it the wrong way) you're a goner too, it's morbid to think about but if you don't know God than you're not in the book of life.

  • Kevin

The day of Judgement? Get a grip mate.

How many times have we, even say in the last 50 years, been faced with the final day? 1999..everyone was sure the world was going to end...christians on Tv said they had seen signs...the devil was about to seize the world...people gave up all their possessions...and nothing happened.

    Then it was 2000...and nothing happened...2001...ah a miscalculation...and nothing...now it's 2010...yeah some kind of magical year.

It never happens. I think the day of judgement is a myth created to scare people into following a belief system that enforces political ideals.

But if you have some other evidence that I'm wrong, then please share it...cause the numbers are against you.

  • Riz

    Okay

    Warning, DarkChristian, and Kevin Murray

I'm not so sure what we're talking about here but I think everyone has their opinions of things. Kevin Murray, if you think Judgement Day doesn't exist that's fine. Warning, if you think we're slaves to God, that's fine too, although it left me a bit uncomfortable. And DarkChristian if you think God wants us to choose to follow him, and live a good life for him, that's also fine.

All I'm saying is that we have different opinions and no one will hurt us because of that, not even God. Because I believe he is a merciful and forgiving man.

so yeah, it's useless to argue...

    ^^ and that's it

  • the song writer

"If jugdment day is a myth. Then you are also implying that the bible is incorrect? Careful before Jesus strikes you with a vengful lightning bolt! How dare you say such blastphemy. Have you no shame? Having free will and speaking against God is not allowed. If you don't kneel to jesus and become his slave you will god to hell. Says so in the bible. All facts baby."

hey don't make me look like the bad guy here.

    I'm not insulting anyone's religion.

all you're doing is twisting the words in the bible around, then making it sound bad.

look, we're human, we're not perfect, but God is (or the idea that God is.) we need something (or someone) to lean on. God's that one.

  • the song writer

"hey don't make me look like the bad guy here."
