Forks and Spoons [Villonnet]

In my time, I remember that Piglet loved Pooh;
Hand in hand, they would walk their paths strong,
With no other worries in their minds, so Baby -
If you`re the fork than I`m the spoon beside you.

All we need is each other, love can get us through;
Like Peter loved Wendy, nothing stood in the way;
I know our tangled hearts can make it work `cuz -
In my time, I remember that Piglet loved Pooh.

Prince Charming awaited under the moon turned blue,
For Sleeping Beauty to open up her tired eyes,
And I will wait as long as I need to, `cuz Baby -
If you`re the fork than I`m the spoon beside you.

A Villonnet is a hybrid of the Villanelle and the Sonnet. It has the Iambic Pentameter of both, but holds the four-stanza/line structure of the sonnet, while utilizing the two-line rhyme nature of the villanelle. The final stanza replaces the sonnet couplet with a typical villanelle tercet.

Forks and Spoons

Guys are like forks, girls are like spoons;
That's what they'd like to say.
But I think that girls are the forks,
For they keep the spoons at bay.

I think that girls stab a lot better,
They attack with words like swords,
With many thoughts and much ideas,
Sprouting from a fork.

Guys are more like spoons,
They use pick ups more often,
But don't always get it right,
Until the food is softened.

Girls can be quite curvy,
But the truth is simply this:
Guys tend to be less straight,
If they ever share a kiss.

Spoons can carry objects,
But they have a deeper pit;
Like guys with bigger bellies,
To keep more food within!

Forks can't carry much,
But they can pick up more.
All they have to do is pick,
Any that are in store.

Forks and spoons need each other.
At least, that's what some think.
Forks hold solid, spoons hold liquid,
But which will hold the drink?

Girls are more like forks,
A utensil to love,
Telepathic to others,
Good at buttering up.

Guys are more like spoons,
They tend to lose their shine.
But if polished occasionally,
They'll look a bit more bright.

This may seem confusing,
I'm befuddling myself.
I'm talking about utensils.
I think I need some help!
