Basically a teacher from our school had an affair with a 6th former and he was suspended (if thats what it can be called for a teacher) but he has recently been allowed back to work. We are unsure how he managed to 'escape' without being in serious trouble but anyway he did. Also the 6th former is still in the school.

What the hell is a 6th former? What's wrong about a student and a teacher as long as there isn't any blackmail involved.

A 6th former (in my school anyway) is someone who is in their second to last year of high school. A junior if you will...:) :)

A 6th former (in England) is a twelth grader (I think) they are about 18 years old and the teacher was about 40 years old

It may not be illegal everywhere for teachers to date or be involved with students.
