Nothing Feels Right

You left me bitter with love and life
Wondering if hope will come into sight.
I handed you my heart when it was whole
But you let it fall and shattered my soul.

Now there are pieces debating their thoughts
Some love you still....others do not.
So a war rages, though the outcome is clear.
I can still love you but that won't keep you here.

You promised your heart, when I looked away.
I'll be in the aisle when she walks your way.
The I Do's will be said, my forever gone.
My chance never came, never will come along.

Perfect timing turned away when I needed it most.
I sit and watch as all my open doors close.
The future is fading into a dim light
Because without you nothing feels right.

Letters in Lipstick

Red letters border every mirror.
Each one a simple hint of my love for you,
left with wonder of when you'll respond.

Love letters hidden around the house,
signed x's and o's,
all sealed with a lipstick kiss.

I write you through and through,
yet you only send me two.
When will you get a clue.

Hope forms deep down,
grasping for a foothold.
Only to find none after so long

Lipstick letters border every mirror.
Waiting for an eyeliner response.
I love you, when will you love me?

Its almost midnight and youre late once again
Boy how you treat me should be a sin

I hear a knock at the door and open it to see you
You look as if youve been missing me too

Then you give me this sweet, seductive smile
That makes my wait worth the while

You grab me and kiss me with your sweet tender lips
You lead me into the bedroom knowing i cant resist

I feel your hands move slowly down my side
I know i couldnt refuse you even if i tried

I hear you whispering into my ear
At this moment, your voice is all i wanna hear

I hear you say "loving you is all i wanna do...
When i look into your eyes i see forever for me and you"

But then i woke up and tears fell as i began to cry
Realizing the whole sweet scenario was a nothing but a lie

If only things could back to how they were
Because as im dreaming of you, youre dreaming of her...

Vulnerable

He took me there. Hand in hand,
To that wonderful place
The warmth, excitement, true desire
Was shining on his face
His eyes were like the winter sky
And deeper than the sea.
Oh, honestly in truth I found
They captivated me.

This fallen angel, "mystery"
Looked past my doubts and fears,
With few words of encouragement;
Enthralled me down to tears.

Salted tears of puzzled feelings,
And jumbled thoughts of pain
Were kissed away like water drops
On foggy window panes.

Against my better judgment
I was lost with him, then found
Realizing...Boy, I had it bad.
I needed him around.

Vulnerable, I came to be,
He let me fly beneath his wings

He promised me -
Then butchered me.
But still, I gave up everything.

Delicate kisses shared on a warm summer night
Tenderly connecting our once broken souls
Fondly caressing silky hair with gentle affection
On top of my fragile body, he carefully rolls..

Adoringly entwined under the glowing moon
The soft sand beneath us warming from our heat
Waves soothingly crashing against the beach
The feel of his tongue against mine, awfully sweet..

Sparkling stars of love above us lightly shimmer
Happily and deeply inhaling his toe tingling scent
Removing from his pocket a miniature scarlet box
A diamond on my finger, I knew what was meant..
