Anyone else watching or just me? If I am the only one, then shame on you other Americans. If nothing else, at least watch the cnn youtube debates. They are the best ones. I haven't seen any of the republican debates, but have seen several democrat debates. I use to like Obama, but now after watching him answer questions I think he is nothing more han a politician. He dances around questions by consistently repeating his agenda instead of outright answering the question, much like everyone else on those stages, except for one man. Dennis Kucinich. That man has anwered every single question I heard asked to him. And he answ2ered directly and simply without the two step, or jitterbug for the older folks. The man also stands for the individual, none of this country, businees, corporation, and lobbyist crap. Everything I heard him say would better me, as an individual, not the nation yet leave the citizens behind in a pile of debt and poverty. What does everybody think?

Well cory, while the republican gets the work done the democrat wanders aimlessly through the woods.

say why do they have a donkey as their slogan? does it repressent them or is it trying to tell us something?

just getting in the competitive mood everybody

Yeah, stuff always gets done. Have you ever seen anyone in the white house not getting stuff done. They always do something, but do we really know what the hell it is that they're doing? And then the other half the time that we do know, it doesn't actually benefit the individual. I am not democrat at all. I just haven't had the opportunity to watch a republican ebate yet. I have seen and heard interviews with republicans about their caucus, but no debating. I am not republican either. I vote for the individual I think will bes represent me, and the american citizen. The problem with people and elections is what you just did. You jabbed at something due to party. If we did that then no one would ever vote cause no prty actually does anything for the individual more than 25% of their time in office. Add all that together and out of four years, one of it is spent doing what the people want. You know what year that is, the fourth, because everybody wants to be re-elected and therefore they go about trying to please the americnan citizens. And as stupid as we are we forget about the three years of tax hiking, medical care cutting, interest raising, education ruining bills these bastards sign into office. We blindly follow the last year and say "Oh wow>" He just signed over a bill that will make gas and taxes go down 5%. But we don't realize they have gone up 25% for the past three, meaning the new bill doesn't help us at all.

This is why Kucinich looks like the man. Everything I have heard him say he has answered for the people, to the people, and every answer has benefitted the people. That is 100% of answers. Not the 25% we get from others.

    Eh I don't give a crap.

    I'm voting republican anyway.

in reality, it doesn't matter to me.

  • Cory Mastrandrea

Thank you so much for propitiating the same ignorance that got us into this mess from the begininng. IIf it doesn't matter, then don't vote. It is better than voting for something you don't know. At least then you choose to acknowledge your lack of understanding surrounding the subject.

    Let's see.....

    clinton + democrat = scandal

jimmy carter + democrat = poor peace making abilities with iranian kidnappers

lyndon b johnson + democrat = crappy handling of vietnam (oh and if he would have kept the bombing up i bet we would have won, but instead he backed off)

john f. kennedy + democrat = bay of pigs (need i say more?)

franklin d roosevelt + democrat = wimped out to joseph stalin and is responsible for the course of the cold war

james buchanan + democrat = lead the way to civil war by giving in and being a wimp

thomas jefferson + dem. republican (or birther of democrats) = hypocritical of his whole administration by buying louisiana without congress' approval, which he said he would not do

    Eactly???

  • Cory Mastrandrea

Richard Nixon+republican which + lying about taking us out of Vietnam and instead keeping us in. Also he equals scandal, and he equals ordering troops to shoot at protesting war veterans who didn't get their benefits because he refused to give them any.

George Bush Sr. = War over oil, oh yeah, he was also republican

George Bush Jr. = Republican = let's not get into his long list but only touch the few obvious. Umm where to start, destroying the 1st ammendment, spying no U.S. citizens, starting a war, again over oil and false allegations. Using nuclear weapons that are deemed illegal according to a treaty that we signed after WWII. I'm stopping here.

And let's get your facts straight about the Democrat-REpublican party, which later split into two different, actually three different sects, they were not democrats, nor where they republicans, so we really can't introduce them into our joust,, but if you want to, they were conservative, for states; rights, and looked pretty damn republican to me about their issues. Especially since the whole idea behind them was republicanism.

Teddy Roosevelt = Actual republican= entire entire racial bullsh t when it comes down to theAfrican American soldiers and his treatment of them. Some people call them the buffalo soldiers, even though that term refers to the civil war.

I mean the point is the list goes on and on and on on both sides of the line. I believe I am repeating myself when I say I don't vote according to party, but upon platform. I don't understand why you are even bringing up party problems. I mean Let's talk about Republicans some more and seak of their idocy in the voting in of Ronald REagan, yeah REaganomics that was great, if you were already wealthy, but if you were poor you saw more money disappear from you. Please, the democrats love to raise taxes too; it isn't a surprise.

At teh same time the democrats dropped the only atomic bombs ever to be dropped in known history upon a city. Neither side is flawless. That's why I asked which person you would vote for, not the party. Voting according to party lines is dumb.

P.S. buying of louisiana happened to be one of the best purchases in American history. But if you wat to talk about someone almost ruining the U.S. talk about Andrew Jackson, who overruled a supreme court's decision about Native Americans, almost single handedly undermining our entire judicial system. Or here is a ballbuster for you, Abraham Lincoln. That man sent us into a civil war that almost destroyed us. A decision which was as great a failure and success as Jefferson's purchase.

Like i said (leave your baggage at the back door, ha i love underOATH)...

like i said, I don't care. there's too much controversy in politics, the way I see it theyre all messed up.

  • Cory Mastrandrea

Absolutely. Politics sucks. Which is why people should educate themselves and vote, not add to the mess. If you don't vote because all the candidates suck, I respect that.

  • Cory Mastrandrea

I hear there is a republican candidate just like Kucinich named Ron paul, I have yet to see or hear anything from him, but he must be great.

It's a sad fact that I find American Politics more interesting than British politics, but maybe I'm just more focussed on the country that really changes the world.

I was going to urge all my American friends to vote for Doug Stanhope, who was running for the Libertarian Party, but he got stomped down by the government cause he is also a stand up comic who was going to tell the truth to the American people, or as always, one mans version of it.

Still, Hilary Clinton looks fun don't she?

But kevin, the UK has many good points. you have james bond, and.....okay that's the one worthwhile thing i got out of it, crickett! yes that's another good thing.

and let's just face it we won two wars but you won the british invasion of the 20th century with the beatles and the monkees and all them so you basically started a british revolution in america

She looks about as much fun as I have in my sleep when Im not having fun. (hehe)

I have no opinion really on politics in America - but I do know Bush is missing a few tadpoles upstairs.

I agree tho about not voting if you're not 100% sure thats who you want in power. Otherwise you're just as much to blame as the person ripping the heart out of the country from behind the flag.

The boston tea party never happened man.

Cricket is by far the worst sport in the world, I'd rather watch Micheal Nalley Iron his y-front collection.

Shinty is a great sport of the celts...and our highland games are rather ace...

Ron Paul would have my vote if I was American.

I am a republican, but I don't think a republican will get it, unforunately dUmBocrats have succeded with their lies and are winning the races, Obama is a little sissy, and Hillary is probably gonna get it, which really Sucks, but theres not much we can do its gonna work its way. Bush was the best president we have had since Ronald Reagan, Bush gave us freedom for awhile, untill hillary takes it away.

  • Kevin

We will just have to see how it plays out.

I think the republicans are bad for America, good for corporations and arms dealers, but bad for the working class people.

Better start learning Chinese regardless though eh?

  • Cory Mastrandrea

Nathan H, hate to break it to you, but Bush blows. When you grow up a little and have bills to pay, a family to feed, and larger scale things to worry about, you may retract your statement. As for Reagan being that last good President, you don't even remember Reagan's presidential years. And If you think it benefitted you, then that is because your family was wealthy, and Reagan made wealthy families richer.

Kevin, oh so true about REpublicans being for large corporations and not caring about the little guy, but truthfully, not really any of our candidates care about the individual anymore. Democrat or republican, which is why I have stated over and over that I vote on platform not party. All this crap bout voting for party just shows how uninformed people are today. how they don't go out of the box to find their knowledge, but instead graciously thank the person who is still jamming gerber food down their throats at the age of 16 and even older. For those who have said what party you would vote for, why don't you give us a name instead. Because by throwing out parties instead of names it only shows that you truthfully know nothing about our presidential candidates. Again Kucinich is the man.
