What is it with Teens?

You know, it really scares me how stupid teens are now a days! Like REALLY scares me. They're beyond stupid. Now, before anybody gets mad, I want to make sure you know that when I say -They I mean like 9 out 10 teens. There are a select few that I have come across to be very intelligent, smart, but above all, REALISTIC! The ones who I don't consider this, the 9/10, have absolutely no idea! None! Here is why:

1. When a boy (YES BOY) looks at them, they
think,-Oh, He likes me, oh I love him!-
2. When they had a bad day they say they want to runaway or kill themselves. Really, that will make it all better.
3. Things they say for people to look at them, give them there 3 seconds of fame. Ex. -Why do I feel so guilty for eating ONE grape.-
4. They think at 13, being in a 3 month relationship is a long time. Or wait, and they knew them for a long time before that, so they're getting engaged. (Oh wait, she's 15...but really, seems the same age to me.)
5. How horrible teen girls are to each other, always stabbing each other in the back.
6. Did I mention bitching, bitching, bitching. -Oh, he said he loved me, but now he dumped me for her.-- -Why doesn't he love me anymore, I did everything he asked, and now I'm pregnant.- - -My best friend keeps stealing my boyfriend, aren't I special too.-
7. Thinking they know everything!
8. Saying to their boyfriends of 3 seconds that they love them. (This one makes me laugh the most!)

No im deffinatley no emo kid that is for sure i like living and am far from depressed I have a lot of things going for me and have been shot down once or twice and i know that i will do other bad things but i swear i will NEVER become and addict or an alcoholic or w/e im better than that but about the boy stuff surely i am like that. Yeah I'm not big on teenage girls myself...I tend to stray away from them. Most of my friends are guys but it bugs the shit out of me when people always think I'm dating one of them. I knew this girl named Meggan and she carved this guys name onto her ankle and she only had a little crush on the dude. That's disgusting. I never really hung out with girls even when I was young. They seemed too girly and the guys seemed more fun so I hung out with them. I don't even carry a purse. I don't see the reason why I would want it. They always pack them with everything. Notes, MAKEUP so that they can put it on in the bathroom with their friends because they love to go with each other, just anything. I mean I can be friends with anyone it's just it bugs me how many guys they like and how mean they are. I'm extreamly shy so most people don't talk to me therefore I don't get a lot of mean people.

I think teens look at the little picture. when you try and tell them the end of a mater they don't listen because they haven't experienced it.

when you're a little child you can love but that love is small, as you gradually get older you get a firmer understanding of love. a teenager's concept of love is a dixie cup in size, eventually you can graduate up higher and higher because you learn more.

Hasn't it always been that way?

I'm 15, but honestly I agree. I'm really not like the rest of my peers, I always feel so much more mature. Like, I've been in a relationship with my best friend for over a year, and amazingly, I'm still a virgin. You don't see that much now. Girls my age always rush into things and I really don't understand why they would.. I mean if a guy really loves you, he'll wait.. But like it's been said, they think they know everything, including that this guy is the one they're gunna marry and blah blah blah. I also dont get the need to gossip. If some one tells you a secret, why not be mature and keep it to yourself? I dunno...

I think she doesn't need 12 months. i'm 19, i'll be 20 in october but i look to the end of the matter and all these stupid teen dramas and relationships serve no better purpose.

I don't wana sound conceited, but im not the "steriotype teen". My head is on my shoulders and not stuck in between where the sun doesn't shine. I'm actually very mature for only being 16. Thats like saying I dislike old people because they smell of urine, they can't drive, and they have wrinkles. NEGATIVE. Not ALL old people do. =]] lol

Man everyone is going to jump you now that you made this fourm! :) Well of course your friends aren't like that you have similar interests so it makes sense for you to be the same. And no you don't have to have all of the things we listed above. I know punky girls and they all have crushes really quickly and go to the bathroom together and put on makeup and stuff but they're nice. And I'm sure I know people that only do one or two of the things we listed. I use to get crushes easily but I don't even know if they were crushes. I just longed for love so I made up excuses in my mind that I liked someone. I never did carry a purse or take friends to the bathroom though (I know I'm the odd one out for the purse thing I'm not saying that after a certain time people get rid of them I'm just saying I dont' see a reason for ME to carry one). I had a peer that made fun of people and it rubbed off on a me a bit but I've come to a realization that it's wrong and I'm friends with anyone that's nice and talks to me. I'm very quiet so I don't have a lot of friends.

Oh I'm not saying that your friends and you are exactly the same but you get what I mean. For example the chances are if you put a goth in a room he'll flock to the other goths. I flock to no one. I'm just not very social.

I know that 9 months isn't a really long time but it took me and my ex to say 'ily' that long while everyone is saying it on the 5 months. It depends on who the person is and how hard they fall for the person so yeah. But idk why I said this???

Idk. That stuff you said doesn't sound like me, at all, now that I actually put myself together better then I have in the last 14 years. I'm 15 now and I broke off every piece and put them back together on how they're suppose to be together and, I gotta say I threw alot of stuff that I didn't need away faster in the 3 months of being 15 then pretty much anyone else. I really wanted to change so yeah. But I've been single for the last 5 months and it's not bad, not bad at all. I kinda enjoy being single because I don't have to bother with girls bitching at me for taking someone they 'like' or their ex boyfriend. =]

And by the way, you're not an adult just because your age doesn't have "TEEN" at the end of it anymore. My father always tells me, I'll never truly be an adult until I can take care of myself; with a job, a place to live where I'm not depending on anyone but myself, and own a car while I'm at it.
