Beatlemania has hit your computer screens. This Fab Four were at the top of the charts in the 1960's. I just thought I'd bring them back.

This is going to be a 4 Round contest.

I`ve written for two titles, just trying
to decide on which one I like
more. :]

Lend Me Your Comb

My heart, it crumbles, in the reflection of your eyes,
Which display the true image of a deadly demise.
Disease, it has wrecked you, you're a mere shadow now.
Carrying on without you, I can only guess how.

A few more weeks left, of your frame sitting there.
Back and forward you go, in Grandma's rocking chair.
So lost in thought, over which death roams,
Completely unaware that you'll soon leave your home.

Your long golden hair, the only light left inside.
I pull up a chair and place it right beside.
I begin to speak, although you appear not to care:
"Lend me your comb, and I'll brush your gorgeous hair."

Staring right through me, but you turn to the right,
Picking up the comb, which is lying in sight.
You hand it to me, and a small smile begins,
And inside my heart, for the first time, it grins.

The comb massages every strand of delicate beauty,
Making you peaceful, I believe it's my duty.
Now just rest your eyes, rid yourself of any fear.
There's nothing to worry about; your sister is here.

Don't Ever Change

Filled with discouragement because the mirror could see
Everything about her, that she didn't want to be.
Nothing was really wrong with the image she depicted
But the problems in her life made her feel constricted.

She started to walk on the edge of breaking down.
Thought she had control, but control's not what she found.
Now the issues were much larger than they were before
And she questioned what it was, she'd been aiming for.

Whatever she had wanted, it was missed by a mile
She could only live so long in all the self-denial.
The evidence was growing with each inch that she lost
It wasn't long before she saw, it wasn't worth the cost.

I was terrified when she confided all she had been through
But happy that she trusted me to hear about it too.
I'd felt so similar, tried out the same means of peace
But my battle ended, while hers had just increased.

She said she's doing better, and I know she'll be fine.
It just scared me to think, I could lose a friend of mine.
So if I could say to her, what was going through my head,
It'd be, "Don't ever change. Keep looking ahead."

I know she doesn't believe me, but I say it all the same
She's an inspiration to me, this girl I leave unnamed.
She's reached goals that still linger in my dreams
And has a beautiful future ahead of her so it seems.

Friends and family treasure her, as if precious gold
And she needs to hear it, so let the truth be told.
She's not just my closest friend, we're like sisters in my heart
And so I'll fight for her so that we never have to part.

I hope she knows I love her, in that friend/sister way.
So she'd have to kill me, before I ever went away.
We're in this together, all the way to the end.
Just know I'm hear for you, Love, Your Anonymous Friend

You`re Gonna Lose That Boy/Girl

The other day, a friend of mine turned and he said:
"Can you tell me if I`m wrong with the thoughts in my head?"
I asked him what he meant as tears filled into his eyes,
"I want to know if I`m buying into all of her petty lies."
There was a glimpse of agony colored in his eye,
But it was painted over with the golden stars in the sky -
"Truth is," he sighed, "She`s my whole world in one,
But right about now, my heart`s weighing nearly a ton;
These horrible thoughts are weighing it down more everyday -
Putting it into rusted chains, making it impossible to give away."
I looked at him with horror stricken into my blushing cheeks,
The words he was pouring out were making my voice so weak,
I knew the truth, but to tell him would would mean to betray;
Because I promised her I wouldn`t, I stand by words that I say.

"I just want to know whether I`m right or whether I`m wrong,
The longer it takes, the worse it gets; and it`s been so long;"
He bowed his head as he put his face into his palms,
Took a deep breath and tried his best to stay calm.
So I flashed a ceramic smile at him and I slowly began to lie,
Looking at my hands so I didn`t have to look him in the eye;
When you`re torn between two friends, what are you to do;
Whatever you choose, one of them will be mad at you.
So I chose just a friend over a boy that I have always adored,
Opened up my mouth anguished with deceit and the lies poured.
"You have nothing to worry about, you and her are made to be,
She loves you more than anything in the world, can`t you see?"
He looked at me with his beautiful blue eyes and he said:
"So I`m wrong with the thoughts that are running through my head?"
I gave him a sorrowful look and sighed: "If you keep questioning her,
You`re going to lose that girl, so tell me what do you prefer -
A life with her, or a life where you lost her because of your trust?"
Standing up, he said his thanks and left me behind in the dust;
But if I could do it over again, I would go to her and set her straight,
`Cuz she doesn`t deserve to have a guy that is his kind of great,
I lowered my head as I kicked myself, whispering: "Now I lied,
Because the truth is something that I pathetically chose to hide,
And I`m just like her, I gave him the advice I should have told to me -
'You`re going to lose that boy' to a girl that`s not even meant to be."

One After 909

It was a misty Hallow's Eve, that day
Of which is now become so known.
The day in which, on a Boston campus,
True evil, to them, was shown.

It took part in a room no one mentions.
The story has been twisted and changed.
It involves a young girl, a knife and a rope,
And a man who was completely deranged.

A dark night in a cold October,
Silence echoed throughout the mist.
Yet then out of nowhere, a scream,
So loud it could not have been missed.

People rushed to where it came from,
And they were left with a horrifying sight.
The girl stone cold dead, walls drowned in blood,
And the killer was gone; taken flight.

Now today, on that Boston campus,
That door is just a horrifying sign.
It is no longer just an ordinary classroom,
Instead it is known as "the one after 909".

Two of Us

Here we sit after all this time has passed
Best friends with questions we've never asked.
Two months ago I would have done anything
For you to see all those hidden feelings.
But now I'm not so sure about where I stand
I'd give everything for you to understand
That I would have offered up my soul for you
But that was yesterday and it's the best I can do
To sit here and tell you that I don't feel that way
Though part of me's begging to find out today,
To see if we could really be all that I imagined
Overstep the boundaries of being just friends.
Make a relationship built strong enough to last.
But all that emotion's been buried in my past.
When you had dated her, it made me move on
Made me get over you. The passion is gone.
So though it didn't work out, neither will this.
I fight the part of me hanging on to that wish.
No one said this would be easy, but here we are
Passing up the chance to take this so far.
As we stare at the stars, I find it a funny situation
I wanted you so bad, but I'm over the frustration.
The two of us are here with forever in our view
But we ended it as friends, just me and you.
