I think it`s pathetic when people judge a relationship by race, sex or even age. Love is love. There are some rare cases where it should be frowned upon, yes; (a forty year old and a twelve year old is definately wrong) but if the people are in love, and it is true love...even the ignorant words of society shouldn`t stand in their way.

I used to be sorta racist.
Before i realized that skin color has nothing to do with the actual person.

Giving where I live a lot of people are rascist. Men, women, children. Pretty much everyone. Though there are the select few who aren't. Most of the people that I know that are rascist say that it's because of their religion. And it's not really that they don't like people of other races it more so that they don't think that people of different races should be together. They say stuff like "that isn't what God wants us to do." "he created different races for a reason" blah blah. I'm sure you all know the drill. I don't know though personnally I don't mind.

I used to date a guy for 9 months and he was half black and half white but more on the black side yet enough white to make him look like he was native american but only darker.

I didn't care what ANYONE said. My grandma was just fine with it and I mentioned my dad not liking anyone with half black or fulll black in them that arent the same sex as I am and how wrong it is and I told my grandma that no matter what happened between me and Chris, that if my dad find out I'd just tell my dad to suck it up and deal with it. He's setting a bad example for my brothers also because if they see and hear what hes saying and doing then they think that thats the way THEY HAVE to act which isn't right!

Alot of people are just discriminative; not only towards different races, nationalities & skin colors, but genders, ages, religions, etc., etc. as well (even if they're consciously aware of it or not). They don't believe that these people deserve to have happiness, love, passion, a family, etc. Heck, there are some people in this world (of the same race, nationality, etc., etc. or not) who shouldn't even be in a relationship as they aren't worthy of it; haven't earned the right. Whereas some of these people in mixed relationships have earned just as much right or more so; are worthy, to be with each other simply because they love each other, are mature, serious & committed, would never dream of hurting their spouses in any way, etc., etc.

I'm half black and half white.
I even have racism in my family on my mother's side.
They have changed some and have been forced to deal because of me. lol.
I consider it my own lil triumph.

Its so darn sad for me
because i was Forced to break up with my girl and (shes white and im middle eastern)we went out for 2 yrs and we was talking bout marriage well anyways we was IN LOVE thats all the mattered!!!!!!

and they forced me not to see her, they called the cope and blah blah!! they said they dont trust my kind hahah

^^ That`s pathetic. It`s her life. There are a few people who can ruin many things for people, but I have many middle eastern friends and they deserve just as much respect as any other races, unless they prove elsewise.

I think the young people of today are rebelling against the old attitudes toward inter-racial relationships ,hats off to them. my son is married to a black girl, they are very happy and shes a part of our family, they have a beautiful son,who is the light of my life. I think eventually the young people will wipe out racism.

a lot of people have biased ideas that only 2 of the same race should go out-

Which also means all races should be taken under consideration for respect from ALL people..you can single out one person from the race that maybe you dislike...but to label/downgrade every single person out for a mistake one or a few commited..it`s wrong. Won`t change though.

Im middle eastern and my bfs asian. I dont care bout this race issue, its wierd though to see everyones reaction and to laugh about it ... nobody knoes who will walk into their lives and make them fall in love with, yeah sometimes its unexpected but once you fall in love thats it, culture and background doesnt matter. Its going to be hard to face the rest of the racist world about it, but hey if your loves strong you`ll make it through. It seems like my parents might not accept it but if they really love me and want whats best for me, i believe they`ll accept it. sometimes a diferent race bf/gf is what you need in your life. things are different and i wouldnt even think bout wishing that he was also middle eastern, becasue him being asian makes him who he is and i love it ! :) i love him.

I don't see the point in racism. If you want to date someone who is the same skin colour as you, then that's your prerogative. But you don't have to be rude or condescending about it.
