I`m bored and really feel like judging a contest, so...for this one I want three poems from each person...doesn`t matter how old they are..the only rule here is that they`re from three different categories...I want one from love, one from sad and one from any other category of your choice as long as it isn`t love or sad.

I don`t expect to keep this open for longer than a day, for now I will accept ten entrants, depending on how slow that is or how fast this is is when I will decide to close it.

Splishing, splashing in the sea
Leaping towards the sun
I love watching the dolphins
As they play and have such fun

They are such happy creatures
Somersaulting in the air
Surfing on the biggest waves

Xx First Song xX

The moon is climbing up into the sky
Slowly, surely as the night goes on
Reaching its place amongst the cosmos
In control of the heavens before the dawn

The moonlight glistens upon the foliage
Casting patterns of a silver rainbow
A ball of fluff rolls from the leaves
Two jade gems gleam a naughty glow

The cubs are out for the very first time
Five feather tails brushing side to side
Nosing in the shrubbery and undergrowth
Their mother watches with worry and pride

Two cubs observe the moon with suspicion
The white globe casting spells on their fur
The night's melody tingles across their ears
Causing their small vocal chords to stir

One by one, their small noses point upwards
Tipped ears perk up, fragile yet strong
Harmonious howls and shrill acute barks
As the wolf cubs sing their very first song

The moon conducts this debut recital
As the twinkling stars cast a beautiful sheen
The cubs sing 'til the night comes to an end
The breathtaking song of a small wolverine

Sad Poem

Xx Roses Are Dead xX

Violets are blue and roses are red
But what do you do when the flowers are dead?
Deep ruby petals turned to filemot
Viridian leaves have all started to rot

Light coral pinks and dark cornflower blues
Dark olive greens and some pale honeydews
All of them wilted, misplacing their shine
Losing the battle and race against time

They wither and fall, drifting to the floor
The beautiful colours are now nevermore
Floating to the ground in a pile so neat
The signal the end of a life pure and sweet

Lovers and Liars

Woke up this morning with a pounding in my head -
Realizing I was in someone else's bed.
Looking around at all the clothes, scattered -
I thought that it didn't, but really, it mattered.

I thought to myself, "I can't do this anymore."
All the while, retrieving the items off the floor.
Leaving the bar, each time with someone new;
"This was not the way to ever forget you..."

New drink concoctions, I'm losing my senses -
Leaving the bar and hoping over the fences.
Running around wild, I was never this way...
What happened to the sweet child of yesterday?

So as I pick up my shirt and my ripped up jeans,
I realize that things aren't always as they seem.
His slight snoring is all the reminder that I needed,
To know that my expectations were not exceeded.

I take one last look at what I have become
As I head outside into the unforgiving sun.
The dark circles apparent under my tired eyes,
As realize that I've lost count of all the guys.

"I am done with living my life this way.
I am finished and I'm changing as of today.
No more with these lust-filled, broken desires,
I'm saying goodbye to all the Lovers and Liars."

It Happened One Night

Laying in the grass, just staring at the stars,
I found my mind wandering, wondering how you are.
I hope that you are happy; I hope that someone cares -

Life is cruel and life plays tricks, but we'll make the most of it;

The grass was cold under my back, but I didn't really mind -
I just let the memories take me back, as my body began to unwind;
The tension just melted away, and for a time, I could smile -
It was something so unfamiliarly pleasant; I hadn't felt that in awhile.

The stars, they twinkled absently, playing to their own beat -
Just like the time when we danced, when our bodies did meet.
Slowly we moved, our eyes locked, dancing hand-in-hand -
No better moment I ever spent, no bigger prize I did land.

But when I reached a million, I realized stars were few.

Baby's breath

My baby's first breath,
was one i had longed to hear,
they told me he might die,
and that was my biggest fear,

right through my pregnancy,
all i had was pain,
they told me i had complications,
and then tried to explain,

what was going wrong,
and how it does affect,
but i knew the life inside me,
i always had to protect,

they told me i could not have a natural birth,
i had to have a cesarean,
they told me that we both might die,
and i had to have an ultrasound again,

he only weighed 1600 grams,
and they said that he was to small,
i just layed there in shock,
i felt like i hit a brick wall,

i was set to have have the cesarean,
they gave me steroid injections,
i just thought to myself,
why do i have imperfections,

early in the morning they woke me,
to tell me my son will be born,
i did not know whether to be happy or sad,
did not know if my heart would be torn,

in my back - they gave me the needle,
i was so scared,
i only carried him for just over 7 months,
but losing him i could not have bared,

when he came out there was silence,
i thought something was wrong,
but than i heard a small little cry,
and knew with us he did belong,

my son was alive,
i had gotten such a fright,
they took him away to help him,
and i got to see him that night,

he weighed 1900 grams,
he was such a beautiful baby boy,
when i first held him,
all i felt inside was joy,

today my son is 6 months,
he babbles, laughs and smiles,
in the pregnancy it was hard,
and i had a fright for a while,

but now today my life is perfect,
i would not change a thing,

Flip Flop Banana Whip Pop
you like bananas, more then one would think
unfortunately i think they stink

add one in to a smoothie you always do
why are bananas yellow, not blue?

my flip flops manage the yellow tone
yet one bite of banana and i start to moan

i wish it's taste wouldn't send me into fits

The Forgotten Park

Leaves finding a home next to an old rotting stump,
grass starting to droop in a sad sort of way,
flowers hanging their head lower every day...
They haven't been here in awhile.
Shadows form across the swing-set,
once hosting a smiling girl, beaming boy.
Now whistling a pathetic tune of moans and groans
blowing back and forth in the harsh but subtle wind.

Memories will pass, as a lost dog wanders through.
A wish for that hot summer sun to heat the bench for Them,
to hear that melodious jingle of laughter once again.
Instead to hear the crows repeat their dreadful song

I used to be their hiding place.
Surrounding them with tall trees and blooming flowers,
but they left me here, they moved on.
I can only wonder if they found a better sanctuary.

Once a safe haven for young couples like Them.
Now a run down pit stop for rain and thunder.
Flowers have died, grass has faded away to mere nothingness.
If only to hear that laughter once more and to feel the pure love They shared.

*He Was Sent Up In The Sky*

I remember the days we spent in my room,
Just cuddling one another.
We'd laugh and giggle so much,
And just stare at each other.

We were so young,
We had that fire in our eye.
We made a promise one day,
To never let that fire die.

Then one day we were walking,
And you just fell to the ground.
I was panicking so much,
I was the only one around.

I rushed you to the hospital,
To see what was wrong.
The doctors really scared me,
They took so long.

The doctor finally came out,
With a look of sadness on his face.
I asked, "doctor whats wrong,
Is he going to be okay?"

He said, " Im sorry to have to say this,
But I have some bad news......
....Your boyfriend has had cancer for a long time,
He will pass very soon."

As I dropped to my knees,
With tear filled eyes.
I folded my hands in prayer,
And looked toward the sky.

"Lord please help him,
Let him make it through.
If I have to lose him,
I dont know what I will do."

I finally wiped my tears,
As I stepped into the room by his bed.
He whispered in my ear softly,
And these are the words that he said....

Even though its time for me to go,

Later that night he was gone,
He was sent up in the sky.
I hold his hand and continue to say I love you,
