I have no idea of what to do!!!

I have this really close guy friend. and he likes me. i am not sure if i like him back or not because i have a boyfriend and at school or anywhere else he dosen't even act like i exist!!! but when he texts me he says things like " i am so depressed because i don't have a girl and nobody likes me" and i don't know what to say. he will not tell me any one else he likes so i can talk to them and get them together but he just won't tell me!!! i don't want to make him any more depresed then he already is but i just told him "if you're not gonna tell me anything then i am just gonna let it go" and i think that made him mad because he said "well just let it go because i don't care anymore".... if anyone has advice for me or would like to tell me what to do i would greatly appreciate it! thanks!

Well, telling someone you are just going to let it go, that is reaching out to you for assistance was a bad choice of words on your part. He wanted your help, not your cold shoulder saying, "if you're not gonna tell me anything then i am just gonna let it go"

Anyways, it is too late to change the wording of what you already said to him, but it doesn't mean it is over for your chance to help him still. Be positive with him, don't put negitive thoughts in his head such as you are going to let it go, etc. Let him know you are there for him, let him know you'll do all you can to assist him in his finds for a girl, etc.

Depression is a hard thing to cope with, however, with friends helping you through it, it's not all that bad. Just keep re-asureing him that there is someone out there for him. It'll take time to find a soulmate, it doesn't happen overnight, he has his whole life ahead of him still.
