I don't mind Christmas, but I think the concept of buying gifts is kinda dumb. In my opinion, I think gifts should be given at random times to people you care about. Mainly because they have a lot more meaning when they aren't expected. Am I the only one? |

I've never thought of it that way!!! But yes, random gifts are always lovely, they definetely make a person feel more special. |

I means alot more to me then most, because all of my family get together and just spend the whole day watching football playing christmas songs and eating and just sharing that one special day of christs birth together, but I also take toys that day to toys for tots, I wish no child had to do without |

I think that in reality Christmas is a load of bollocks. Eating like yre gonna burst when theres millions starvin, drinkin like theres no 2morrow and folks emptying the shops for 2-3 days. Hey, I don't need an excuse like christmas to behave like a glutton, drink like a whale and spend £'s on tastless gee gaws 4 my friends. Lets party ANYTIME!! When wiil the west wise up? |

I love Christmas and yes it doesnt make sense to over indulge like some do. But i do take time to help the less fortunate than myself. I buy presents, collect food and clothing for those who have none. The holiday can be a good one if you try to make it happy for someone who has not had happiness in some time. I have taught my children this also and hope that when they have kids of their own they will do the same thing. And i do this all year long not just at the holidays, that is what giving is all about......happy holidays to all |

I agree with you Jason...the idea of Christmas is blown out of proportion...gifts is all that matters obviously...i mean...i just told my mother the other day basically what you were saying about how gifts should be given at any time...why do we need holiday to prove thanks to someone? we don't truthfully...you are right...gifts should be given at any time instead of having a holiday to make us do it..ya know? and no i do not like Christmas for a lot of reasons. loves. |

How could you not like Christmas....The only legitimate reason I think someone couldn't like Christmas would be because they didn't have a family. I love Christmas because my immediate family is so close. We all buy tons of presents for the kids, my nieces, and nephews and watch them count down the days. |

I agree. Christmas is just a burden sometims. plus i have to be with my family which is just unpleasant, and i can not stand christmas music and the tree is really dumb too. ours always have to be so tall that they touch the ceiling and so then they never fit through the door and we can't ever reach the top of the tree and its all just exaughsting |

Ok i am sick of you people complaining about gifts, la-dee-da who cares whether you get them at christmas or spontaneously? The fact is you got presents and other people poor people starving people don't have plenty of food so be glad not selfish, everyday can't be christmas. And yes it is commercialised the big corporations make tons of money but you forget small businesses, corner stores, they make a lot of money too, and these people actually need it. It's the one time of the year when small businesses do well so if ya got a problem with the commercialisation of christmas buy from small businesses small shops and you are helping people out, spreading christmas wishes while buying the obligatory presents for everyone that you so much dread. |

I agree it'svery stressful you bust your butt off for people to enjoy the day when you can't because there's the last minute christmas shopping or the food has to be just right or this is to small and what if she doesn't like it. |
