My friend and I got into a discussion about what “No white after labor day†really entitles. I usually just thought that it meant no white skirts or pants…But she thinks that it includes shirts, white sandals, high heels, and purses as well. Is she also right?? I’m not a fashion connoisseur and I hardly care that much, but I was just wondering if I’ve been wrong all along and it is time to put away my white t-shirts??? |

Well to answer your question, we were always raised no white until after Easter and not after Labor day, that meaning shoes, pants and purses. I still won't wear it after Labor Day but one of our "fashion queens" here at work whom is adamant about all the other fashion faux pas like black and brown together, stripes with patterns, wearing different materials etc. says it's okay to wear white after labor day. This shocked the mess outta me because she is the first one to say something about what you are wearing. |

Being raised in the south I think it has more to do with southern etiquette. Miss Manners thought she would do us a favor by creating this. Mo check this link out..... |
