Can you adopt them because then they will be yours?

Anybody can be a mother but it's somebody who questions whether they can do right by them that worries about children and would make a wonderful mother if given the chance.

Ofcourse. There's no perticular age that signifies you're a good mother. I'm sure if you give it your all then you're doing just fine.
I'm sorry for you loss. It must be hard to go on without him. Good luck, with the kids and everything else. =]

What do you think? ...You got married to this man. You knew he had kids. When you got married to him you, basically, assured him that if something happened to him you'd take care of them (that is if the children's birth mother weren't in the picture & wasn't given custody of the kids when he passed). Besides, you are practically their mother since you got married to their father & have been helping him to raise them (I assume). You must be old enough to be able to take care of them if you had married your husband (at whatever age), raised his kids, etc.
