How did you/your bf/gf first say i love you?

Mine was pretty funny i'd been wanting to say it for a while but i had no guts and we were on the phone and right before we hung up he snuck 'i love you' in there, and i freaked out and said BYE! and hung up! haha but next time i saw him i told him i loved him too and i still do to this day! =]

I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH HIM AND I HAD TO TELL HIM SOMETHING AND HE BEGGED ME TO KNOW WHAT IT WAS. AND RITE BEFORE I HUNG UP I SAID

"I LOVE YOU". HE CALLED BACK AND SAID "GUESS WHAT?"

I WAS LIKE "WHAT?"

HE SAID "I LOVE YOU TOO"

THAT WAS IN JULY.

I asked him if he had ever been in love before and he said no.
Then before we hung up he told me, I am in love now :)

Mine's actually for an ex, but it's sorta cute.

it was valentine's day and he called me like 10 minutes after he left my house [he was weird like that] and we were talking for about 2 hours...so it's about midnight now. i was getting tired so i told him i wanted to go to sleep, he said goodnight and we hung up. then literally 30 seconds after i hung up he calls again and as soon as i pick up he says "toni, sorry but i need to tell you something..." so i'm all worried and what not but then he says "i love you". i thought it was just adorable. =]

He opened his mouth and said it..wasn't too complicated.

I was at his house, we were swimming but it was at night, then it started to rain and we got out the pool.. Just when i wanted to run to get my towel but then he pulled me back looked me in my eyes and said " i just have to tell you something thats very important" and i was like what, are you gona tell me our towels are wet? And he's like no, what i wanted to say was.. I love you.. Then he kissed me, it was so cute!!! =) That was like last year in april.. And we still love each other altough we're not together anymore...

Well.. before me and my ex started dating, I was with another guy. I was with a guy named Simon and Ray (my ex) hated him because he had me. I hadn't talked to Ray in months at the time and finally I caught him on AIM one day. That's when he told me that he loved me, I said it back of course, but he told it he knew our love wasn't the same.

Some people may be afraid of saying it in person because it'll be really awkward and hurt a lot if you get shot down. And some are just too shy I guess. I personally don't have a problem with saying it in person if I really do love them.

We were in a fight and he was yelling at me saying all these things and i was like " why do youi stay with me then" and he said" because I LOVE YOU" and i started crying and yea thats what happen...well that was my first love but im not with him anymore...

OMG!!!!!! This happened 2 me just two days ago when i was staying at my boyfriends house and it was THE most romantic and sweetest thing thats ever happened to me with a boy.
We were lying together on one of those little swing thingos up on his upstairs decking at night time just lyin there not saying a word. At the time it was as though the whole world wanted me to say it: the stars were shining so bright, no one else was around, the breeze was perfect, we were wrapped up in a blanket and a thought popped into my mine..."this would be the perfect time 2 say it". It took me about 10 minuates trying 2 say it...at one moment i thought i had lost my voice because the words wouldnt come out! i said "Can i tell you something?"
And we both opened our eyes and i saifd "I love you" straight away he said "I love you too" and we stayed there for about another hour together.
Perfect or WHAT??! lol

Well i told my ex that i loved him first.

we were on the phone and i was like " baby i love you."

and he said " i never been in love before so i dont know if i can say that yet" so i hung up

the next day he called me and was like " baby guess what?"

im like "what?"

and he was like " i love you beautiful!!"

i was like awwww! lol

^^^hahahahahahaha wow...um consider the validity of his statement. was it out of sincere affection or an attempt to hold on to a good thing?

love takes time, for some people its easy and for others its harder. just because you say you love someone and they dont feel ready to say it back, doesnt it mean they dont care. i assumed that and lost someone very valuable to me.

My husband said "I love you" to me before we even had our first real date. We were best friends already so had said that we loved each other many times... but I don't count those as THE "I love you". We were in college, and his grandfather passed away. Since it wasn't my relative, I couldn't go with him to the funeral. We were both crying a little when he was getting ready to leave campus. I told him to drive safely, and when we looked at each other, we both knew there was something different... He kind of gasped and said, "Oh!" I asked him what was wrong...and he said, "Nothing, I just realized that I love you"... and the rest is history. We've been married almost 20 years now.

Marcus said it to me before we were offically going out
He was keeping me warm at the bus stop and he suddenly went all serious and i asked him what was wrong.
He looked at his shoes and said, "I really have to tell you something but i'm afraid you'll think i'm crazy and run away or something."
I asked him what it was and he said, "Well, it's kind of like this.. I think.. well i know, not think. I mean i definitely know i do, not just think."
I laughed and said, "Marcus, get to the point."
He went all quiet and then kissed me, really sweetly, it was so lovely.
I asked him what that was for and he said, "I don't know how to tell you i love you so i thought i'd try to show you instead."
Needless to say, we made it official then and there, lol.
After months of skirting around the issue and flirting, we finally made it official.
And now we're getting married in July 2009 =)

Unfortunitely for me, we said it from day one of going out (age 14). I realized now that I didn't truely mean it until I was 17.

We we lying down together, and he said something really funny. I said "you are such a dork" and he said "yeah thats why you love me." I freaked out for a second and said, IDK.... He said well I love you. and of course I said.....I love you too. That was three years ago. We are married now. Still in love, and he is STILL a dork....My dork!!!

The first time that the both of us said, "I love you." we were already dating, unofficially; we hadn't asked each other if we'd like to BE we just WERE. It was August, and we'd just gotten inside after having a leaf fight at the park (you know, like snowball, rock, sand and mud fights, like the kind you use to have as kids, except with fallen leaves). We went downstairs to his room and laid on his air mattress to cool off. He grabbed me and dragged me on top of him. I laughed insanely, feeling embarrassed on account that I have double dimples. He laughed at my embarrassment; said that was one of the cutest things he'd ever seen, then kissed me (not our first kiss, but one of many) and sighed, "I love you." to which I replied, "I love you," too.

The first time my ex husband said it... We were dating for about two months. He had came over to my house after school and he was about to leave. Well, I got up to walk him out to the car. He turned the key on and angel of mine by Monica was playing. He hugged me and gave me a kiss and said I love you angel of mine. I said I love you too. And we were married for eight years.

Although most people think it was a line or him trying to get in my pants or creepy or somethings. it was anythign but that. my bf alberto, said it on our first day actually together. we started going out later in the day and had been growing friends for about a month. we were on a fieldtrip and on the way there about two hours into the drive he said, i dont want to freak you out and you dont have to say it back but i think i already love you. and what was weird was that i knew at that moment that i loved him to and that we were really going to have something special that was 2 yrs and almost 3 months ago. i love him so much and everytime we talk or see each other it always begins and ends with an i love you

We were on the phone, he was talking about being with me, and said, "If I have ever had the slightest idea what love really is, than, rose, I love you. . . "
Well, then there was an weird silence afterword, and then we both started laughing. . .

We were at the movies with my mom and my sister
watching chicken little and we went to go get candy and on our way back to our seats walking behind me he whispered in my ear "I love you" it was so cute. So i smile everytime chicken little comes on lol.

The cutest one was with a guy i wasn't even dating at that time, he was being all excited while we were talking on line, and i finally asked him what was up, he told me he sent me an email and to check it....he had wrote me a poem with the last line saying "i really truely love you" ......it was adorable! Even thuogh we aren't together any more, it was still cute and i still love that poem. Even though it doesn't mean the same thing to me any more.

He actually told me a few days before we started "officially" dating. We were lying down, talking in this student place where there are huuuge stairs (everyone whose locker is on that floor hangs out there). Someone called my name, so I sat up and waved. Then as I'm turning to him, I can feel him stroking my skin. He looks at me, draws a heart on my arm and says "I love you". I melted!
