Mm.. Why is it?

Why is that when a girl gives her car an oil change and also changes out her brakes, especially drum brakes, that guys are sitting there with their mouth dropped and in total shock?

Are we not suppose to be able to maintain the regular maintaince on our own vehicles or something?

Illuminatix: Why have a man around to pay for it when I can do it myself... Men make great toys, but they can create such a distraction that right now... mmm... I just do not find the desire to "have one"... But, when I do finally settle down why should I pay over $100.00 labor to change the brakes when I can do it myself and only pay $16.95 for the brake pads....

Well said, Sher. When I was married, my husband refused to change out my brakes one Saturday. I had a "girl's day out" to go to and he thought by not doing the job, he could keep me home. Well... I found out a woman can do anything with the parts and a Chilton's Manual. The only thing I had trouble doing was bleeding the brakes. I had my neighbor help me with that. My husband just sat there with his mouth open when I got in the car, back it out of the driveway and drove down the street. Shortly after that he filed for divorce. His reason... What did I need a husband for?
