Glosa plagerism?

"Glosa - A glosa is a poem which uses four lines from another poem as a 'texte', providing the concluding lines for each of its stanzas"

my friend said that taking someone elses words is plagerism but I dont think it would be if you gave them credit for it and I mean it is a poetry style.. what are your opinions on that, is it plagerism, or do you think that its a legitimate form of creativity?
