I got up and went to get my mothers birthday present on my way to work. Needless to say it was a birthday none of us will ever forget. |

I was in P5 (grade 4) at the time. I don't live in America but I heard about it when I came home from school, then on the tv. |

I was in 5th grade and i noticed that throughout the day kids would leave the class and not come back. no one told us anything, i went to my after school program with my little sister (we always walked, it was just around the corner from school) and we stayed there until 7:30ish, though the program officialy closed at 5. we still had no clue what was going on, then my aunt came to get us and she told us that 2 buildings fell down in the city and our parents were staying to help out. my sister kept asking for my parents who were/are doctors in manhattan and i don't think i really reacted, i just kept trying to make her stop crying. my parents came back home on the 15th they were stuck in city working. it was surreal; we actually got the full explanation from my mother when they got back. |
