What Should I Do?

Okay.. last week me and my boyfriend Ray broke up. Well, the next day.. I was at school and this guy walked into my 3rd period class. He instantly caught my eye because he was so damn cute! He didn't know anybody so he was really quiet.. when class was out and it was POURING rain outside, I interduced myself to him and asked where he moved here from and things like that. When the bell rang I left. I haven't really talked to him since then but I do have a crush on him. He's really cool and sweet from what I hear and is good friends with some of my friends.
In class yesterday, his friend Anthony found out that I like Tyler from one of my friends. After class Anthony told Tyler and he said that he doesn't really know me so we'll have to start talking more or something before we start dating. My friend Samantha pulled him aside too at lunch and told him.. even though I asked her not to.. and he told her that he already knew that and pointed at Anthony. He told her that he does not have a girlfriend right now.

But!! There is this other girl.. her name is Heather and she flirts with him A LOT!! He's friends with her brother and rides the same bus as her, but he doesn't really show attraction back. Heather will grab his hands outside and push him and things like that, but he never really does anything back to her. She has tried talking to him about them dating, but he said that he doesn't want to date her right now. Anthony told me that he talked to Tyler and Tyler is not even sure he wants to date Heather anymore because he found out that I like him.

So, what do I do?! I think he may start going out with Heather but I really don't want that.. everytime I try to talk to him he's always busy. Anthony said that he'll talk to Tyler for me if I want him to, but I don't want him to start thinking I'm some weirdo or stalker or anything like that.

Continue talking and stuff, but DON'T mention going out again! He might get scared and annoyed. Don't worry about that other girl. If he doesn't seem to show anything back to her, he obviously doesn't like her. Most of the time, going out with best friends sister is a big no no, so don't worry! But, just keep talking to him like a friend, but don't push it, cause you'll lose your chances!

Play it cool.

^^ both are good listen to them to quick and guys run. Plus like you said you don't want him thinking your a stalker. Plus most guys like a challenge. Give subtle hints but don't make any sudden moves. act like you are just one of the guys hanging out have fun. Let him come to you when he is ready.

Thanks guys. Oh and Rachel.. I never said anything to him about dating me, it was Anthony that brought that up I believe. I will just play it cool.. try not to act all awkward around him, say hi sometimes and try to talk to him when he's not busy.

Hun just be yourself... that heather girl seems pushy and he obviously didnt like it so even though he knows you like him so what.. a good tip for you two to get talking is to sort out a fun night out like bowling or something because youll all be laughing etc an it will be all natural...

why do you youngsters wanna rush into a relationship wen you can get too know each other first off all... so yeah just be his friend..

I know.. I mean, I think he's really cute, and when people asked me what I thought about him that's what I said. They overreacted with it though and was like OMG!! You like Tyler! And started trying to hook us up and things like that... sure, I would consider going out with him when we get to know each other a little better but as of now, yeah, we do need to talk more but he's always busy when I see him!

When he comes into 3rd period, he just puts his stuff down and leaves. He sits on the other side of the room so I can't say anything to him. I always get partnered up with other people in there and after class I think he goes to the bathroom so I can't talk to him on the way to the cafeteria. We have seperate lunches so I can't see him then.. blah, this sucks.
