Just pick one of his features that you like, and tell him. It's not hard; just think about how you would want to be complimented.

Give sum examples, what has worked, and what hasn't....

Telling Marcus he was sensitive in front of his friends gave his mates a lot of laughs so save the soppy compliments for when you're alone.

Yeah, its a shame they are taught to suppress it. i know i'm the only person my boyfriend can be that way around, and once he even told me he didn't want to tell me something because he didnt want to seem like a 'pussy'
    oy, society!

^interesting point....Did you know that men are just as sensitive if not more than women, however we are taught to suppress it early on in life, when a man can balance the masculinity and his sensitive side properly, he'll be a great catch....

Hey hey, i didnt say Marcus had a problem with it. He smiled, kissed me and said, thats why you love me.
    I'm just saying in general.

I love straightforwardness. Be honest, don't tell him you love his shoes if you really think they're hideous.

You could say... 'geeze it's hot today... just like you'... and then quickly change the subject... (i did that today and my bf. loved it!) - of course... that doesn't work if it's winter.

you could just tell him you think he's great or wonderful or something like that.

I've only seen Jeff cry twice in the 2 1/2 years we've been together. Both times were out of happiness.

^This, sadly, is true for most men. ...And these guys who CAN balance their masculinity and sensitivity are indeed a catch of the day! :) All guys should be able to balance their masculinity and sensitivity.

I don't go through the Do's & Don't's list (because I don't personally believe there are only certain things you can or can't compliment a guy for & on), I just say whatever I feel like he DESERVES to be complimented on (I don't compliment him just to boost his ego), what he earned to be complimented on or what I, simply, feel like complimenting him on; I'm straightforward & honest. These compliments range from practical to, well, impractical; exchanging and revealing truthful as well as humorous remarks. Sometimes I even make comments that I know that others (even ''he'') think is one of the Don'ts, because I feel like being silly or because I, plainly, just don't give a **** what others think, say or believe...
If you can't take a compliment, whether you need it or not, your SOL and therefor do not deserve no better. I don't give pity compliments.

I've told my boyfriend numerous times that he is cute or what he did was cute (as well as use other choices of words similar to cute). I've told my boyfriend that he was sensitive in nature & looks (just not infront of friends... yet! ;) Etc., etc.
