    Hurricane Of Chaos

    We used to always be so close, us two
    Until one day you couldn't handle my joy
    Turned on me so fast, never saw it coming
    That was the day that I became your toy

    Malicious spiteful rumors were spread
    Never would have guessed that it was you
    Silently laughing when I mentioned my woe
    How could you have turned out to be so untrue?

    Casually turned my whole life upside down
    Deceitfulness was something I just couldn't see
    Acting like you cared for me so damn much
    When you were actually my worst enemy

    Shed so many tears that I lost count
    days were passing by hazy and blurred
    When did you become so envious?
    When did you decide you no longer cared?

    Your spiteful actions made me doubt
    Every single thing about myself
    Never have I been so confused
    Couldn't deal with pain that you dealt

    My life was once so special and precious
    Until you swept by ripping out my heart
    Everything I'd carefully built up for myself
    You casually, happily, ripped right apart

    Everything that was once so perfect
    Now left scattered, in disrepair
    You left me with a tattered soul
    Why is it you no longer care?

    Breathe the World

    On a worn down rock, she sits to think;
    As she holds her cluttered thoughts up high,
    And the color began to dissolve and sink,
    As she caught a golden star in her eye.

    Standing, she walks out into the unknown;
    Until she comes across two faded roads,
    One was walked upon, worn to the bone;
    The other was newly paved -- ready to erode.

    She held her breath as she closed her eyes,
    Holding herself weightless to the skyline:
    A warm hue to the dampness of the sunrise --
    She lined the horizon with a curved design.

    The clouds exploded her thoughts to rain,
    As she took off her walking shoes and ran,
    Choosing the road etched down with pain,
    She came across an old bearded man.

    Black rivers streamed gently down her face,
    As she stopped and looked him in the eye,
    Her teen heart picked up speed, began to race;
    When he shuttered awake to sing a lullaby:

    "One road held promise, one road held strife;
    One road was long and winding, one was straight;
    My dear child, you have chosen the one of life;
    You are walking the path that defines your fate."

    He stopped dead in his tracks, looked ahead;
    As she stumbled toward a silver plaque,
    "Breathe the world," she muttered in her head;
    As she ran forward, there was no going back.

    ------------------------------------------
    The old rock is metaphorical for the world. She was trying to find herself and she chose the path of life that looked strenuous instead of easy so that she could find herself. The bearded man was her guardian angel.

    Illusive gates
    by NyellMoonlight

    Worn- out dreams give us bloodstained wings
    to replace discarded memories and glass heart,
    fragile aura of illusions breaks barriers and walls
    waving the bridges of tight rope and vine.

    Laced fantasies let us fly, merged with
    thin membranes that separate worlds,
    somewhere above the moon, on silver waterfalls
    we slide to the viaducts built with light.

    Corridors made of flames and butterfly's pearls
    behind closed door in liquid darkness sleep;
    with crossed javelins we demolish dungeons
    painted with blurred, opaque grayness.

    Master of Dreams

    Thoughts collide in memory
    Where dreams become reality
    Ticking slow the pendulum
    Eternal is it's beating rhythm

    Re-runs of how it used to be
    Forced to watch incessantly
    Perpetual shows, voices victim,
    Injects my mind with it's venom

    Creep forth from recesses deep
    No hour have I to find relief
    Graffiti littered inner sanctum
    Marked for me with it's emblem

    Day or night, find no peace
    Taunting with no signs to cease
    Amnesia, what a thing to welcome
    To rid myself this hosting phantom

    Orb of Hope

    A crystal light;
    This smothers fright.

    A striking beam;
    Cast away dream.

    Orbiting lies;
    Form many different ties.

    Powerful and just;
    Comfort that's thrust.

    The all seeing eye;
    Holds everything in spry.

    I hold up my orb
    For it gives me hope...

    Muses Haunt

    Magical creatures bound to earth
    Unable to separate from magic like a peel from a banana
    Searching desperately to help others not just Beaulieu
    Eagerly to prove their name is more than just a noun
    Scarcely found even when they become the one you hunt

    Look carefully and you will find that this is actually a double acrostic... the beginning and end of each sentence spells a word.

    Library of existance

    We're lost in tumult of mixed beliefs by,
    fairytales and urban legendes unfold.
    Despite every denial and every lie,
    we will meet them at the end of the world.

    Gypsy witches withered in the cursed flame,
    surrendering into mortal accusal.
    Werewolves watch the full moon with perfect aim,
    hiding in the mists as a deviant mammal.

    Vampires dwell the twilight with fanged teeth,
    feeding the bane of their immortal plague.
    Mermaids watching the world ocean-eyed with,
    a beautiful curse rested in their ache.

    Dark elves danced on the pale pixie dust,
    in the forest of sweetened greenery.
    Zombies of tortured souls resurrected,
    assembled in cremated sorcery.

    Separating our vestal sanctuary,
    from an underworld of denied presence.
    Potrayed as an infernal augury,
    in a vast library of existance.

    A temple of lies

    While I descend in quiet miseries,
    the night confined me in solitary guilt.
    Deception escaping my rotting lips,
    hurting and confusing the ones I need.

    I silently dwell on the other side,
    quoting prayers of a perpetual liar.
    Suffocating from unspoken verity,
    slowly drowning in a sea of fire.

    Desolation in my hypocrisy,
    enlightening shame upon a careless face.
    Going against my mental oddity,
    I'm not taking the blame for my mistakes.

    I worship the deity of perjurer,
    tempted by grievous truth and somber eyes.
    From a nomadic to a believer,
    I am trammeled in a temple of lies.

    House without a home

    A house that has no life
    lives in great strife
    empty all day and night
    only has company of fright.

    Barren all around
    No home to be found
    deserted and left alone
    all it can do is moan.

    With no one to keep it warm
    nothing to protect it from storms
    just wanting any amount of care
    sadly it will be found no where.

    Not one happy moment
    no security equals torment
    memories are so vague
    this house is just a plague.

    Slowly it dies
    but it cant even cry
    for it never had a home
    it was always just made of stone.

    Heartbeat

    Waning moonlight crowns a primordial nexus
    Native land of Seminole sons' and daughters
    Beneath archways of mossy oak and cypress
    Twists ribbons of dark tannin filled waters

    Feral beasts hunt, tracking by scent of spoor
    Carnivorous plants attract with blossoms
    Bright colors, sweet nectar, tend to allure
    Innocent prey fall to beauty as victims

    Low throaty bellows emit an eerie sound
    As alligators bask in the warmth of heat
    Pod hatchlings stir in nests on ground
    Audible pulses of a distant heart beat

    Still is the night in this chain of command
    Anhingas dine on newly hatched young
    Part of a diet that surely was planned
    As mothers return to see what has come

    Listen to the cries that each of them sing
    Okefenokee, "Land of the trembling earth"
    Existence of necessity in each living thing
    Natures beauty in death just as in birth

    Melinda Kay Smith

    *** Okefenokee Swamp is located in the south eastern part of Georgia. It's name means "land of the trembling earth" because of hammocks that tremble when stepped upon.

    Curse Painted With Prosperity

    In today's round it's a curse painted with prosperity
    There's a chance of sarcasm with windy showers of hate,
    And you're looking just as ugly as always, I see,
    With a star taped to your wit.

    And there's something about that golden merry-go-round
    And the look on that slide's smile that makes me shiver.
    Trouble's always waiting around the corner, I've found -
    Looking around from the swing-set.

    In today's round it's a curse painted with prosperity
    There's a chance of sarcasm with windy showers of hate,
    And you're looking just as ugly as always, I see,
    With a star taped to your wit.

    "Ring around the rosy, pocket full of <shit>",
    And they said speaking my mind was a bad thing
    When you're full of cookies and that oh so tasty wit;
    (Ashes, ashes, we all fall...)

    In today's round it's a curse painted with prosperity
    There's a chance of sarcasm with windy showers of hate,
    And you're looking just as ugly as always, I see,
    With a star taped to your wit.

    * A key to my soul*

    Dripped in silent admiration, caught in astral exile,
    -Don't break this silent orb of natural possessions-
    Dripped in frail adoration, caught in highlighted servility
    -Please, just avoid all Deity's hovercrafts-

    ...and he once had a key to my soul, occasionally...
    ...and he once had clefs for all my tunes, randomly...

    Drowned in blackened flood of human's blood,
    the dark angel stall; No hope, no chance for survival.
    Drowned in blanched tides of human's lust,
    the dark angel fall; No chance, no hope for survival.

    Golden crown of brightened thoughts of life was broken
    under murky clouds that brought toxic rain's showers;
    Golden crown of luminous moral of reality was destroyed
    by twisted reflections in shattered, unreflective mirrors.

    ...and he once had a key to my soul.

    Visions In Flames
    --------------------

    Engulfed visualisations,
    Leading to burning desires;
    As visions of the future
    Become scarcely seen.

    Blurred.

    Trapped in deep frozen fire,
    Burning towards the unseen;
    The unknown enters thoughts
    It's all scarcely seen.

    Blurred.

    Visions have been uprooted,
    Away from the soft ground;
    The flames continuously burn
    It seems scarcely seen.

    Blurred.

    My visions are in flames,
    Burning throughout the night;
    They twist - they turn
    Seemingly out of sight.

    They are scarcely seen. Blurred.

    They Called Her "Darkness"
    By My Decadent

    A black heart will only find beauty in endless dark
    Where the shadows of death may tear you apart...

    *

    Sun setting into a dusk without shadows;
    The light dispersed through broken meadows;
    Silent steps breaking solitude around -
    You can hear everything yet nothing makes a sound.

    Second by second - slowly times goes,
    The sun has disappeared yet darkness never shows;
    No shadow, only light - how can this be true?
    You're no where to be found - what are we to do?

    They all despise you for veiling the sun,
    Yet without you their lives are undone;
    They despise how you seem to fill the air with death,
    Yet without your presence they can't catch their breath.

    **

    Once upon atrocity, you swore you'll leave forever
    As everyone thought that without you they'd be better;
    But how can you have light without dark?
    How can you separate night from its darkened heart?

    You vanished into thin air... left us all alone;
    I still think your shadows were our only true home...
    And I still wait for you each day and so-called night,
    Waiting for you to come back and veil this dreadful light.

    My love, come back, and return into my arms,
    Come back once more and surrender to my charms;
    I need you to survive, without you I am but ash
    As the sun rays could kill me in a flash...

    **

    Weeks have passed and you're still not here,
    It seems as if you magically disappeared...
    I can feel the blood inside my veins slowly dry;
    Come back, my love, come back or I will slowly die...

    I cannot dwell inside this cave anymore;
    I need to feed - my hunger is making me sore,
    But I cannot dare to face the light outside
    Though I'd love to kill all those who made you hide -

    Just sink my teeth in their flesh and make them regret
    For calling you names and making you upset,
    For forcing me to stay in this God forsaken place,
    Hiding like a coward, sheltered by sunlight's embrace.

    *

    They called her "Darkness", I called her my love -
    My only protection from the sun above...

    Depression Entwined with Smiles

    She was the one who laughed the loudest,
    Amongst everyone else in our group of friends,
    She was the one who made her parents the proudest,
    With her striving courage that had no ends.

    A smile strong enough to take your breath away,
    She stood strong for those who needed her the most,
    And she went on in disguise, day after day;
    For the good of others, she hid all of her ghosts.

    A closet full of skeletons looked me in the eye and lied,
    The day she told me that she was finally happy,
    So I ignored the feeling that I tried so hard to hide,
    And gave her the best wishes, sincerely from me.

    I never looked past the silly tears forming in her eyes,
    Or the times I seen the bruises under her foundation,
    She hid her pain so well under her beautiful disguise,
    But the pain she cut into herself was no exaggeration.

    You can only get by on fake smiles for so long,
    Eventually you`re going to have to face that light,
    Depression entwined with smiles led her wrong --
    The night that she finally decided to end her fight.
