I dated a guy for a year who lived in Washington and I lived in Virginia. He left for a long time and I didn't hear from him for a long time. So I left Virginia and went to Washington.. He was so happy to see me.. I was happy too.. after a month we were engaged.. but then he left.. couldn't handle it I guess.
But the point is. Long distance doesn't work out like tons of people say it does. It doesn't. Sorry.

some long distance works out. it just depends on if you have found the right guy. If you find someone and you truelly love them and they love you then it will work out but the thing is you have to take it extras slow with long distance relationships cause you may think you know the person and you may not really know them at all. just take it slow.

Seriously, I don't believe you can really get to someone adequately until you have spent quite a lot of time together. There can be so many both good and bad things about a person that just aren't revealed through telephone conversations or emails, etc.

I have carried on a long distance relationship with a guy I met in person 8 months ago. We communicate on a daily basis. But the opportunity to get to know each other really well didn't come until we finally had the chance to spend a lot of time, almost 3 weeks, together.

Hey !! i kno exactly how you feel cuz im in the same case as you...i think its great and that its not qstupid at all....my bf is the best guy i ever met and its probably the same for you ! you can always meet him in the summer like i do or you could go to the same camp !!! good luck,
