I cannot stand when people say ther sorry

I hate when you write something and all they can say for you is there sorry or awww thats too bad. Thats not why I write things on here, i don't want to you to be sorry for me, or anyone else. It doesn't help me at all, it just makes me feel worse knowing that all you can do for me is pity me or say your sorry, it gets me, or anyone else no where. If your going to say something, make it productive please.

Yes, exactly, lol, but i can get mad at them for trying. They sound so stupid i want to pity them! I know some of them are just trying to help, but bah! i hate it! I'm just like you, i hate sympathy, it doesn't help me at all

I guess that your right. However, I still stick with what I said, perhaps they just don't know what to say, but if i'm putting something on this it's normally for advice, not for pity, so there sorries just don't help, it's like, " ok..thanks?" what do u say to someone who says ther sorry?

yes, I really hate that people say sorry to you and not knowing how you feel, or they try too hard. When someone says sorry to me about nething I feel stupid or dumb! I see your side!!!! But as others say thats what one can say if they have nothing else to say.

I have to agree. Sometimes sorry is the only thing people can say even if they know it doesn't help. Anything else ends up sounding like "i told you so" or "it's your own fault" or just plain uncaring. And if you say something that seems to expect an answer, that may be along those lines, all your gonna get back is I'm Sorry

And what do you want us to say? Nothing? "So what why the hell should I care?" People say sorry because they dont really know what else to say.

ex:

"My whole family was bombed by terrorists and my pet accidentally drowned"

Now, what would you rather hear?

1)"Oh...well....that sucks."
2)"Oh my god thats terrible! I'm so sorry."

So deal with it Terri. It's not going to change how people respond to you.
