I Don't Know What To Do...

Well I usually don't post my problems on here..but this time I'm really lost and scared. I'm not sure what to do.

I have a friend who is very much going through a tough time right now. First of all, she keeps on asking me if she looks fat. I mean she's done this at least three times in the past week. And ofcourse I tell her no. She's beautiful and her body is good. Then she doesn't eat much. I was talking to one of my other friends about it today and she says that she has admitted a few months back that she has an eating problem. I am so scared. I don't know what to do for her. I'm really concerned and I don't want her to stop eating and become anerexic..Now I know this porbably won't happen but I just want to be sure..I want to help.
Another thing is she has emotional problems. It's obvious..and today she told me that she thinks she needs a phyciatrist (sp?). She also says she's lonely and she need someone to talk to, someone who will understand. And I'm sitting there and asking her what's wrong but she won't tell me. I'm trying to be there. I mean I call her and talk to her when I find her sitting alone and I know she's sad..but still it doesn't seem to be helping.
What can I do to help..or to make her feel better in any way? This is really affecting me. I hate to see her in this state and I'm honestly very concerned.
Can anyone give me some advice please?

Thanks. I really appreciate it. :)

Well, I know this may sound a bit weird, but does she know how much you care? Just telling someone who is upset that there IS someone out there somewhere who does care can mean alot to them, she is really lucky to have a friend like you who cares so much.

First off.. My girlfriend is struggling to recover anorexia and bulimia. Talking really doesnt help.. and the more compliments you give them, they less they do what you have complimented.
It's very hard to describe and complicated.
Before this gets out of hand.. You need to tell someone who can help her. Because trust me.. if you let it go on and let them tell you that they dont need help, they can do it themselves, it wont happen. An eating disorder takes over your mind and becomes a lot like a drug addiction. Most Ana and Mia suffers claim the disease, "speaks" to them. Or so Amanda used to always tell me
But she is getting professional help now, and she is getting better.
So belt up the problem before it gets worse. Talk to her about getting help, or tell someone that can yourself.

Well, by eating disorder, do you mean throwing up kinda thing? Because if so...you need to let her know that she needs to see a doctor. That can become very life threating. The best advice I can give is just to be there for her and check frequently for things that in her norm. If this keeps getting worse you need to let someone you trust thats older and can do something about it...let her parents know if it will help. She may hate you for that but in the end she'll be thanking you.
    Hope I help a little.

Thank you guys. I've been monotering her..as in checking up on her and seeing what she's doing. The thing is she usually doesn't eat when she's very upset, she goes into these prolonged periods of time when she's feeling severly down and doesn't eat, or do much of anything for that matter. This has happened before. It happens a lot actually. Her mom knows about it so I'm sure she won't let her go into such a deep state as actually needing treatment or becoming anarexic. If anything gets worse though I will surely be there to tell someone and get her help.

I appreciate your help a lot! :) Thank you.
