Bob I have a perminant brain injury that I sometimes appear drunk walking around when Im mentally fatigued and I don't find that word offensive. But tell me I have developmental disabilities and I feel that people are patronising me.
Some of my family tell me I have a marshmellow brain, maybe we could use that instead. I used to get upset about people always using gay or many other versions to discribe something pathetic. Now I realise I can't change the world, I don't care much about what happens inlife anymore

I think anybody that fits into a minority of some sort will (at some point) get discriminated against. As sad as that may be - it is part of life. I don't agree with it - i don't like discrimination, which is exactly what you are doing with your original post. Their way of life is completely different to ours. I think that women shouldn't cover up their faces, but you don't hear me verbally attacking the Muslim religion.

Carrottgirl - i wasn't replying to your comment - if you re-read my remark it clearly says "Bob - " at the front. And he was refering to your oringinal post having that word removed, i was pointing out that it isn't a bad word unless used with the intention to hurt. And you used it with the intention of disrespecting others.
I don't agree with the way they handle things in Iraq, I never said i did. What i wouldn't do is go around insulting everyone that does something differently to what the western world deems as the right way.
If anyone was to insult your sexual preference you would take offence at that, its exactly the same principle.
