Runaway

This demon has taken you,
Taken you from me,
The sweet taste of liquid death,
Drenching your lips,
Consuming your palate.

It has become your love,
No remorse for what you have left behind,
Your reality knows no shame.

This craving and want,
You try to disguise as a need,
Guided by the devils hands,
You walk into darkness,
As though it were always your home,
But I saw your light.

Eyes that shone like destiny,
Beckoning me to drown in their waters,
Love once lived there.

Now you drag it into this hell,
A hell which is keeping you content,
Happiness from emptiness,
I could never know such a thing.

To embrace nothing,
To care for nothing,
To walk away from everything,
For nothing.

What you run from will be there,
No matter what you drown your soul in,
Even in your moment of death,
You will think of all you held,
All you left.

Will you waste it all?
All that was,
All that is,
All that could be,
Because you can not face your own fears.

For fear of all things,
Nothing but a shiver in your soul,
A moment of "what if?"

Because you can not have you,
No one will have you,
You will run from love,
Though it is what you want,
And drown yourself in this paradise of poison,
I mourn for such thoughts.

You dared to be the hero
You swore you'd be courageous
I suppose it doesn't work that way:
Bravery is contagious

You said you'd never be a fool
Afraid to be too outrageous
But we both knew it was different:
Charisma is contagious

All the times you said to me,
"You know, they'd never make us"
We wanted to be with the crowd:
Conformity is contagious

Tears were wiped away
And pain had never phased us
But something here was terribly wrong:

Forgotten

I waited for you today,
My worries held strong,
Are you still there?
Do I still belong?

You never swam to me,
The trees seperate,
But I'm forgotten,
Unleash my fate,

I cry out with no reply,
No one's listening,
You're not listening,
And the mournings glistening,

Goodnight sweet angel,
Your tooth enters my hate,
A poison wove between us,
And I know it's far too late,

I gave you new chances,
The pieces of me taken,
I let you catch them falling,
And these tears will awaken,

At rest in darkness hidden,
Now penetrate my skin,
In the end I'm incomplete,
In the end you will sin.

Nobody's Home (CinqTroisDecaLa Rhyme)

Every-night after work he goes to the bar for a drink
A couple of Bacardi down, helping clear his mind to think
Feels like Nobody's Home as she waits for him night after night
By herself she sits praying for everything to be alright
Hes at the bar tonight drinking, just hanging out with his friends
Beatings when he gets home, hiding bruises she tries to pretend
Long sleeves and glasses praying for pain to finally descend
Begs for it to stop the abuse continues, lower she sinks
Maybe she can end it all. Maybe she can end this tonight
Hes still at the bar and Nobody's Home, finally it ends.

The CinqTroisDecaLa Rhyme, a form created by Laura Lamarca, consisting of one 10-lined stanza. The rhyme scheme for this form is AABBCCCABC and a syllable count of each line is 15.

Lol, i almost forgot i entered this contest. I'll write a poem and hopefully it'll be up by tomorrow :)

Don't bring this up...
Shelter me with grand illusions created beyond my sight;
one day all flavors will become one and I'll bleed out
all bitter tears of sorrow. Numeric voices won't heal me.

Havoc of thoughts mantled all bravery in brindled brain,
leaving me to fight against frantic impulses of make- believes.

Despair suffocates imagined motions, burning and scarring the skin.

Lullabies die,
the power slowly fades over razed well of reality;
valley of illusions has been destroyed,
and it's grayness- shattered in pieces.

In liquid obscurity of my bloody stars,
in the spaces behind curtains and gates
the new hue of alluring blackness is born,
perfectly erratic creations are risen;

My world
and it's echoing rhythm
paint the blue aura of existence,
eternally- now- I'm flying...

The sight's revealing smeared Suns,
and all rainbows that decorate soul.
The moon and his silent queen
are dreaming imagined gods.

The fire flied from stoned ocean of my entity;
my world... and his beautiful melodies.

Keep Holding On [Triquatrain]

In a world so small, I'm beginning to fall,
Not knowing how to deal with another day.
Seeing in black and white, wrong or right,
Learn to be content with shades of gray.

Look towards the sky, as life passes by,
Leaving behind a pale and broken sunset.
It is time to move on, the past is gone,
Say goodbye to strife and endless regrets.

Shoot for the skies, for tomorrow never dies,
Second chances come and go like seasons.
Keep holding on, because it's a new dawn,
Of searching for a place with light and reason.

The Triquatrain form was created by Robert L. Huntsman. It is a quatrain poem in tri-rhyme with a specific rhyming pattern (see below). Lines 1 and 3 have internal rhyme whereas lines 2 and 4 do not.

Spitefully, I play his game,

The Trijan Refrain, created by Jan Turner, consists of three 9-line stanzas, for a total of 27 lines. Line 1 is the same in all three stanzas. The first four syllables of line 5 in each stanza are repeated as the double-refrain for lines 7 and 8. The Trijan Refrain is a rhyming poem with a set meter and rhyme scheme as follows:

as I have to duel
