Simply speaking..... Bipolar is a psychological disorder were you bounce from happy to sad with little if no warning or control. Hormones are chemicals released by glads in the body that can cause changes in feelings and emotions, makeing them seem stronger and more sensitive. |

Well..from my experience, hormonal mood swings occur, but they aren't persistent or frequent or have the same frequency as Bipolar Disorder. I have Bipolar Disorder and from my experience, I've had hormone mood swings (both teen and pregnancy) and I've noticed the severity of the mood swings are as full blown out. Though, when having Bipolar, you're constantly cycling and having a mood swing frequently and get more emotional. The hormonal is more to describe the *blues*.. Its not ongoing--a better way of describing it. |
