This River is Wild

Staring out into the night
I cannot help but think of you;
Of all the times spent together
And all the awesome things we used to do.

I feel emotions
Building up inside.
My tears give away
The pain I try to hide.

Talking about you seems so hard -
I cannot stop the tears falling from my eyes.
It seems that each time I mention you
There's nothing I can do but cry.

He asks me why
I feel this way.
I wish I knew
Just what to say.

Spending time with a therapist
Trying to explain how I feel
Just keeps reminding me
That all this hurt is real.

I suddenly burst out
In uncontrollable tears.
Crying infront of someone -
One of my worst fears.

"He's just not worth it,"
Colin gently says to me.
"He will never be the one
Who will make you truly happy".

Again I start to cry -
He speaks the truth.
Of your feelings for me
There is no proof.

My tears, a river so wild,
Ceases to come to an end.
I cannot do this anymore -
I can no longer pretend.

You don't love me -
I don't think you ever did.
Of this pain
I want to be rid.

As I wipe away the tears
With the tissue handed to me,
I remove the 'love dust' from my eyes
And now, I can finally see.

No more pain.
No more lies.
These tears are last
That'll fall from these eyes.

Pink candy canes and butterfly kisses
Close your eyes darling, fulfill all your wishes
Slide down the rainbow into a sea of gold
To a magical place where you never grow old

Keep a tight hold of your dear teddy bear
Watch as the mermaids comb their shining hair
They'll sing you a song with voices so sweet
Listening to them is such a lovely treat

Chocolate drops fall from a Vanilla sky
Pixies and fairies are all flying high
Scattering pixie dust over your head
This is better than any fairytale you've read

The glitter carousel is waiting to start
Shimmering unicorns beg you to take part
The organ strikes up a tinkling tune
About a little cow who jumped over the moon

Pink candy floss cloads float lazily past
Time in this dreamworld flies by way too fast
A cute little elf reaches for your hand
Ring around the roses then fall on the sand

Butterfly kisses and cold lemonade
An enchanted dreamworld that your mind has made
So go to sleep sweetheart, close your tired eyes
Spend all your sweet dreams with magic butterflies

All The Pretty Faces.

Your mind runs faster than your mouth,
not keeping up with everything that's said-
ruining what could have been;
Keep the pace, darling; slow and steady.

The look in her eyes says " I got`chu."
With fear rushing about your blood stream,
you move, and move and move
until you're out of breath.

They beat at you like a bat's wings,
harder and faster, harder and faster.
The pain is outrageous, and you can't outrun it-
or in this case out fly it.

You're not fly enough for all the pretty faces.
You're ruining what could have been ,
You're falling so far behind the crowd,
and everything is rushing back to you-
the hopeless never win.

Daddy's Eyes

Confusion swirling inside
Not knowing what to do
No words are being spoken
Yet suddenly feeling so blue

Unsure of what to even say
Silence uncomfortably setting in
Just wanting to finally be rid of
This pain and despair within

Waiting for lips to finally speak
Resigned to your next twisted lie
Knowing you can't help yourself
You always make me cry

What happened to our relationship?
And all of the love that we felt?
When did you decide not to care
About all the pain you dealt?

No point in even questioning you
All I can do is shake my head and sigh
Wondering how I can feel this pain
Just by looking into Daddy's eyes.

Raped for all she held,
Forgotten over time,
Nothing left to steal,
No longer in her prime.

People, diamonds, gold,
Western image burned,
Never helped, but sold,
Such hatred we have earned.

Eyes of dreams and hopes,
Hanged with velvet ropes,
Slipping down the slope,
We could never cope.

Countries of great wealth,
Give less than one percent,
They can't forgive a debt,
Some sign, a small repent.

The mother of this earth,
Sadly left behind,
Tell me what she's worth,
Where's the reason in our mind?

At home or far away,
My heart heart breaks everyday,
Forgotten faces play,
In my soul of sweet decay.

Love Can Build A Bridge [And We'll Tear It Down]

The air tastes heavy with admiration. It was so heavy, somone might undoubtly mistaken it for love. A delicate stench which seemed to continously tap at your nose until you finally forced yourself to recognize what this admiration actually meant. . .

The air tastes heavy with romance. It was so heavy, someone might quickly mistaken it for adultury. But, who's to depicting the difference? "Let them do what they want," they say, (though I'm reluctant to let them do just that).

It was like watching you grow up all over again, as you picked yourself back up. You're like the sun in so many ways; growing each day, then falling down by night and once again climbing the latter to dawn.
The sun grew through out its one-day-at-a-time cause. Maybe he's just like you. Rising and falling each day, weary to get up the next day.
Maybe we should take each day like him, in a sense . . .
One day at a time.
(One day at a time . . .)

But maybe that's a little too dangerous; who teaches you to fall at night and rise again in the morning is someone you might not want to be drinking your ale with.
A little too much falling might bruise one's soul.

Red- eyed monsters whisper
rising torches towards the sky
built with liquid darkness

The path made of pieces of inspirations,
leads to glassy chamber where the demons dance

and the words written with blood on the walls
narrated about deities that are being created;

crossroads twist instincts,
dragons and mystics lead me through the labyrinth

to the core of my entity, to the puzzle;
echo of fragmented existence
constructed sacred crypt.

Sweet children

We live in a world, it seems a great place,
but selfishness and hatred leaves it's trace.
houses are bombed an people are killed,
an innocent child, it's blood has been spilled.

A little girl crying, her mom on the floor,
to young to realize what she fought for.
Another young child, his dad has been killed,
not knowing he's next for the coffin he built.

We live in a world, it seems a great place,
but pain and suffering leaves it's trace.
A modern day genocide and feelings of hate,
heartless men seal a young child's fate.

Our sweet children, carrying knives,
an eight year old, taught to take lives.
little children fed nothing but fears,
dying eyes cannot shed tears.

the world remains silent, and closes it's eyes,
when it comes to night, nobody cries.
For the forgotten children, dying in war,
for the broken families who have nothing more.

Our sweet children paying the price,
innocent hearts turning to ice.
Our sweet children dying each day,
our sweet children fading away.

Sometimes I'm up, Sometimes I'm down.
Whenever I'm with you I wear a frown.
I become distant from everyone around,
this is because I feel as though I've drowned.
Drowned in a world un-known.
Dark and all alone.
