Cutting is a selfish act. Not only does it cause you personal pain, but hurts your friends and family as well.

Everyone has the erge to cut but you need to learn how to resist that erge. If not things will only get worse...

My best friend is cutting. The worst thing is that it's my fault for not being what she needs the most.

That is untrue, you could be anything you wanted, if she still feels the need to cut, she will regardless. I have some of the greatest friends in the world, my cutting has nothing to do with what they might feel they lack.

Its not really a hobby so much as a addiction, but i understand, ive been trying not to cut for months, so far ive survived, i always surround myself with friends when i get the feeling, it usally helps, or i write, it also helps a lot

This is what my best friend, my sister, my other half said to me the other day,
i broke down, i was so ready to just give up and
give in and never care and never do anything
she was there and she said to me,
"You will always be better then the blade. It's just a piece of metal, beaten and worn...it is USELESS, something you will NEVER ever be no matter how much you think you screw up or how many things you think you do wrong."

idk why, it just honestly helped me
i dont know why people waste their time on
    cutting.
it honestly wastes your life away,
    along with your body.

how do you explain those scars?
how do you tell people oh yeah, i picked up a razorblade
and decided to dig it into my skin?

    It's a shameful habit, a shameful ADDICTION

no matter how hard it is so stop,
    it is SOOOOO worth it.

Personally, I think that explaining where the scars came from is one of the hardest things about cutting. :/

Well i use to cut..yes use to. last year my body was scarred from shoulders down, i couldnt stop cutting, then one day my friend grabbed and shook me sayin if i didnt stop id lose anything. it was a huge reality to me. i realized while i was sitting there cutting i had been hurting everyone around me. i advise anyone who cuts to try and stop. will power find someone you can talk to. find other ways to release. scribble on paper, punch yur pillow. ANYTHING! just dont harm yourself!
