^^ Yeah, find someone who you can trust. If you have a job, keep it. You'll need the money. You could always get someone to do your taxes. I believe the rate is 25-50$? |

Okay well first of all you live in Australia. So go to centrelink and apply for youth allowance (living out of home) you will get about $400 a fortnight i think, not entirely sure. then you will need to find a part time job or full time depending on whether or not you are continuing on with your education. If you are continuing then you can get government assitance with fee's or extra needs. Apartments are expensive especially if you live in Melborne, Sydney etc. So at the age of 17 you will not be able to afford one. I suggest researching group homes or shared accommodation. Usually that means you live in a house with a group of other people (usually about 5-7 others) and there are workers who also stay there in shifts to make sure everything is fine. Usually you don't have to worry about paying selected bills straight away you just have to put a portion of your income to them and help pay for food and your own expenses. They will usually teach you life skills there so that once you are ready to move out properly you are prepared. You should have regular contact with an adult if you want to make sure your getting on fine. Don't enter into contracts without consultation (especially in terms of getting money loaned, especially in todays society) because the banks can be harsh and you don't want to get into huge debt. But may i ask why you are getting kicked out. maybe your parents said it in the heat of the moment without meaning it. discuss it with them. i also suggest going to a website called. http://www.reachout.com.au |

Well i'm not going to kid you, it will be tough that is why you are going to need support. that is why i suggested you go to the website or maybe you should try and give Kids helpline a call on 1800 55 1800, their awesome people. otherwise you can always ask DOCS for help. They will be able to help you into a group home. but that would only be accessible until your 18 because then you are legally an adult and that's when things become tougher. Although as tough as they may or will be they are always managable |
