Child Abuse. . .

Okay, I'm not quite sure where I should put this post, so it goes here. (:

    - - - - -

I know, I mean KNOW that my next door neighbors are beating their kids. The oldest is not but 4 years old, there's three boys. They're always screaming and whining, and getting yelled at. They're only allowed outside ONCE a month, for not but 30 minutes [[same with their dog, and i'm sure there's dog crap everywhere. .. it's NEVER outside]]. My mom has called the cops and children services many times, and they've been over there maybe two, out of the 30 calls she's made. Nothing's happened, but these kids have bruises and red marks everytime I see them. [[Only time other than once a month is when they're getting in and out of the car or at the windows waving at me]].

Honest to God, I have no idea what to do. It's crazy, and it's starting to worry me and my mother.
Any ideas on what to do?

    Mmm.
Mom's done that, and she even went to the town meeting once, they said they'd look into it but they haven't.

You and ur mom had done ur part and ur best to help those child. its about time that the authority needs to do something about it.. or perhaps u can be friendly with the mom, like when u see her outside, instead of being aloof try to say hi or hello or smile.
    small things matters.

Yeah, it's just horrible. Especially when the youngest one screams, it makes me want to cry.

And, mom always says hi to the mother, I don't think it's so much her. She won't even look at my mom in the eyes. But, I've noticed the past few weeks (it's been happening for along time, but more lately) the mother let's the kids go outside and play with their puppy when David's not home. He's so mean to the mom, I think her name's Jackie, but oh well. And, honestly mom and I use to think it was her being mean because she was always yelling, but she doesn't anymore hardly at all. She acts like she's changing, but David's horrid. I can't stand him, eh.

I guess we'll just have to wait it out, and see what happens. Mom said she's going to go to one more meeting, and if nothing happens she said she might talk to the parents next door, and that's as far as she'll go with it.

Call child services and tell them that if they don`t do something you will call the local newspaper and create a stir(they hate bad publicity) Don`t give up, the kids need you ,you may be saving their lives! Follow through on the threat if they still do nothing.there is strength in numbers.

This thread reminds me of a time, I called my mom something a little obscene and I ran under my bed. And she grabbed the vacuum cleaner and tought me a lesson. Make sure you know what you're doing before doing something :)

OMG, what the hell is wrong with people!

You know what I would do, continue calling Childrens Services DAILY, and write 'The Dr.Phil' show. I know he'd come in and deal with it. Those kids NEED to be taken away NOW!

    Seriously, call/write him! SERIOUSLY!

    Child services.. what a joke.
so great, maybe the kids will be put in foster care. thats a great system.. mostly drug addicts looking for a few extra bucks to house a little punk. i can only hope they have a relative...

My best friend got put in fostercare because her mum wasnt capable, and had a horrible time, she finally managed to get out to live with her dad and step mum and got abused by her step mum until secondary school were her nan steped in, shes now totally messed up and probly will never forget her past.

From having a few of my friends go into foster care and hear there stories, it just doesnt put me in favore of them...

Also i have to say some parents dont know how to control there kids and hit them because its the easiest thing in their mind... but it makes the children scream more which agitates the probly already tired parent and they loose it.

All i have to say is if you think there is child abuse keep trying different oginisations police, even police slightly out your area, because it messes up that child for a very long time.

Edit due to swearing, if you have to star out a word, find an alternative.

in my opinion, dont have kids if you cant take care of them right. do the world a favor.

Sorry I've not been here, my computer's been gay. It wouldn't let me access forums for a long time, then was picky on where I could go. It's still being weird. I can't go to the New Members and Members Forum, blahblahblah. Oh well, it's always been that way.

Okay, Children Services finally came in, because mom did threaten them with the media. Last friday they came and took the kids away, and they're actually staying with a foster family over by the Junior High. The oldest had bruises and the middle one was extremely under weight. They said they couldn't give us all the details, because they couldn't, and. . . well, they didn't have many, eh. The youngest one though, I never seen much of him - he was NEVER outside or anything . . . I guess they found him hiding under a bed, because they came while the parents were in a fight.
Which is why mom called again.
She told them that if she ever heard of anything like that again, then she'd get to the media, no matter what.
It was her fifth call to them.
One of the policemen was actually fired because he didn't inspect it all right.

It was all dramatic, but I'm just glad the kids are out. And, so is mom.

Oh, and I guess the family was evicted two months ago, but the owner lives out of state and hasn't made it up lately. And, yeah. They're getting in big trouble for that as well.
