So I want some really original poems. I'm looking for GREAT metaphors and original outlooks on things.
I prefer love poems, sad or happy. Please don't be cliche.
A few rules:
No cussing of any kind
No religious stuff
No sensuality or erotica
No cutting or suicide

That's it. Other than that, have fun!

Charcoal Hearts And Darkened Feelings.

Internal flames of beauty turn to the Incense of burnt dust,
For the feeling of mutual lust paints the lack of distrust,
As the oils upon canvas scribble the storms of my soul,
Lacking the love which the melted butterfly's have stole,
Singing the sweet lullabys of a hearts eternal damnation,
While coloring broken petals of my worlds fascination.

Charcoal hearts blended with the passion of destruction,
While weeping the words of the ink and papers seduction,
Pastels of insecurities shaded with the brightness of hope,
Tranquilizing the sun and moon until silently they elope,
Lacing the lies upon the decaying stars of nights sky,
As the shadows of darkness whimper their goodbye

Lament of a Dying Butterfly

Lament of a dying butterfly -- even the best shall fall;
By breaking the only rule of the game of seduction,
It shattered the illusion that I did not care at all --
And slowly started to bring forth my own destruction.

Lament of a dying butterfly -- even the best shall fall;
Hearts tormented by past betrayals and destroyed trust --
A test to see if you cared enough to break down my walls,
Not just another plan for own satisfaction of lust.

Lament of a dying butterfly -- even the best shall fall;
Staring at you with teary cheeks and pain-filled eyes,
Stricken down from the sky, a lost soul's desperate call --
For redemption and a way out of a flawless disguise.

Two creatures searching for comfort, tried to fly high --
Fell together towards the earth, in a world so small,
Held each other close, not yet ready to say goodbye.

Stay Please?

Why am I running?
Why am I screaming?
Why are you leaving again?
Stay... stay please.
I can't afford to walk million miles,
to find the pieces again.
Stay... stay please.
My vision has become clear.
My voice isn't weak no more.
My smile is becoming my,
daily hello.
Stay... stay... stay please.
I can finally see,
my life coming in focus.
I see the hours and the days,
and all the minutes I've wasted destroying myself.
It would've all been worth it,
if you don't stay.
Please I need you,
I need you with me.
Stay... stay please.
I can finally admit,
I love you.
But its just another drunken phrase,
as you always say.
You tell me I don't know you,
then tell me who you are so I do know you.
Your my lifeline,
the adraline and blood I need.
Your the pretty, pretty flower,
that still stands in the storm.
Your the picture perfect stone,
that cannot be removed from my memory.
Just please, please stay.
I don't want to see the end of my happiness.
I don't want to see thunderclouds no more.
With you in my life, my life is like,
a picture dream come true.
Stay... Stay please!

These nights, i've found patience in bottles at half mass
while humming a tune that's something for someone's sake.
you havent seen trying till you raise up your hands now,
and once again, the perfect thing is ruined by the snake.
eden must have been as fair as you yourself are i'd say
and i crave for just a small taste of the fight that's in you.
i feel like this taut face is begging for restless answers
to tuck me in and help me sleep till day, right through.
i'll silently sit out this one, i promise you that much;
and hello, it was so nice to see you smiling here again.
i feel like i could touch empathy with brazed fingertips
while planting your feet where forever never ends.

it feels as my mouth is disconnected from my brain because,
i'd never before tell you you breathe beautifully when you sleep.
i can taste the sulfur in such a severe way, it is slowly burning;
i know you love me, so say so.. make me feel your need.

i'm winding down to find a need a crash course now
in all of the ways i need to inhale and exhale to breathe.
you've stolen the life from my fingertips, my lungs too
and i hope with all that i am you never give it back to me.
without girls like you, there would be no poetry in the world
there'd be no such thing as flowers and outer space.
and you play it coy, but you always loved my metaphors,
only thing that could ever bring a smile to your withered face.
if you talk about space ships i'll give you the magic here
i'll press it eagerly and so urgently into your small palms.
i will trace you bed time stories against your arms now,
and sing you the saddest of every single sad song

Profound, like a never-ending ocean
Whose waves glisten in the sunlit sky
Sweet, like fresh picked strawberries
Whose syrupy essence tickles the taste buds
Alluring, like a coy mistress
Whose desire whispers in the night
Secure, like shelter from the rain
That shields you from jagged encounters
Compassionate, like an affectionate parent
Who teaches you right from wrong
Optimistic, like a newborn baby
Who sees the world through innocent eyes
Blissful, like a hopeful young child
Defeating the difficulty of learning how to ride a bike

Love is...
An emotion that cannot be depicted with words
But must be felt in the depths of ones heart
It takes over the body with a colossal force

To experience the sensations love conveys
Just gaze into your loves tender eyes

When You Love Someone

Sometimes, its all that you can do
Before it brings you to your knees
To hold your heart with all your might
So it won't slip in fantasy.

Sometimes, the soul will let you down
Will wrap you in false ecstasy
And break the very parts of you
That surrounds you with lost memories.

With hope that beats you raw
Will fill you with a sense of love
That's full of painful flaws.

You've seen and felt it all before
The heartache and the pain
And when it's all said and done
Broken pieces of your heart remain.

A shatter in the darkest night
Will give you shadows in your heart
Will hold your mind with all the hurt
Will rip your soul apart.

Comfort will not come to you
No matter how you try
Each stab of pain will knock you down
And show in every tear you cry.

That precious love will conquer you
It'll beat you black and blue
And leave you in the darkest night
When it is through with you.

[Repeating Yesterday]

Memories cover my mind at this lonely night,
Heat my soul and blacken my eyes
Will stay up until sun spreads its first light;
I will be repeating yesterday with photographs.

I cannot feel the pain since you completely lost my heart,
Became a motionless within a coward inside
It wasn't your guilt, God took us two lovers apart;
I am repeating yesterday because I'm not brave to live

Hitting my fingers to my decrepit guitar to play our song,
My soul taking me back to live again our first kiss
Now I will tell you why I was being dreamy all day long;
I was repeating yesterday since I learned you couldn't love me.

Held your warm hand and looked at you for the last time,
Never thought death can be that near of me in just a few hours
Now I have to put an end to this poem for you that is well-rhymed;
I wish I could repeat yesterday yet I have been missing you.

Little Black Dress (acrostic)

Lovely velvet eyes, with gold powder enlightening her smile,
Innocent natural beauty, makes life worthwhile.
Tied little gold ribbon in her strawberry blond hair,
Taking her first steps in heels, high on fresh air.
Looking beautiful and young, pink rosy cheeks,
Enjoying each moment, month, day and week.

Blue eyes like the ocean a natural sight,
Looking forward to the rest of tonight.
A sparkle of glee as she leaves with her date.
Carefully planning her time as not to be late.
Keeping her cool, her posture as she walks through the door,

Dominating the looks as she heads for the dance floor.
Remember this day she shall for the rest of her life,
Everyone watching her dress float with each stride.
Singing to herself, this night is her best,
Stealing the evening in her little black dress.

Sin-Shine

Sunshine turns to sin
Sinshine falls upon my head
I am graced with the beauty of pain
As I once more must face this dread

Clouds turn to darkness
Mounds sit over me
Their contents spill before my soul
As I dare to become free

Trees turn to sadness
Dreams once more shade you
A single leaf comes crashing down
Reconciling pictures you once drew

Breezes turn too hollow
Freezing days are to come
I attempt to end this cruel world
But my pain is not yet done

Rain turns to emptyness
Pain flies in my hair
Multicolored rainbows
Cascade with great despair

Days fade to winters
Dazes are in my mind
You've always been my understanding
Yet mother nature calls, "It's time"

When vengeance forgets to sing and the wind sparkles like your eyes
Through the tarnished leaves - I'll set - gazing upon a Butterfly.
White fence which shakes a tease - away from her it hides me so - oh my!

...And I forgot to tell you: it's a lot like love -
As that flower of prominence brushes past your fingertips - yet hide;
Fence, nor grass, nor dangerous stone alike could confuse me of my guide
Or banish me away for the like, perhaps, only if you tried.

...And I forgot to tell you: it's a lot like love -
When you push your eyes to my grace; how innocent you must taste.
When your eyes dance with your intensity, oh my interest soars to haste,
And yet they told me, though still a child, "Shhh, love's not a waste."

When you bend to a curious state to examine that butterfly,
I scream inwardly to tell you, "It's a mistake, away it may fly
If you try to get too close; this thing of love is hard to come by."

As your fingertips grace your lips, when you breathe to realize your mistake,
Upon a glimmering petal, light shines on a butterfly which quakes
Too afraid to allow your touch (though I wouldn't mind), it shutters away and the light shakes.

And it's a sin - you shining brighter than the sun when you dance,
And it's a sin - looking as innocent as you do when you look at me with a glance.
Tell me this is long for love; there I stand, by your look I'm entranced.

The hills shutter in the shadows, beckoning to us to dance on the land,
And they tell me it would be okay to be lost within your hands;
Whisper me something soft and we'll show this love where we really stand.

Oh, do no hesitate away from me, Butterfly, the sun's shining too brightly for me:
When vengeance forgets to sing and the wind sparkles like your eyes,
I'll watch your smile, a glint of glass in my eye, - (How she looked at me!)
As I burn to touch her cheek and whisper, "It's a lot like love, you'll just have to see."

Description/Meaning:
This is the description of a young boy, falling in love for the first time. He is standing behind a "white fence", watching the little girl, who is looking a "glimmering petal" as she "..bends to examine that butterfly" and "It shutters away and light shakes".
The hidden meaning behind this is that you need realize the boy calls the girl "Butterfly" in the beginning of the poem, and then later in the poem as the girl tries to touch a <real> butterfly, but it flies away, it is saying that the girl is like a butterfly, and if he were to touch her, she would too fly away. Make sense now? ^^

Master of Dreams

Like a puppet, swinging in a forgotten wind
my head nodding to his every word
you might say it's obsession, but it's not
my eyes are merely hypnotized
with every move of his blood-red tongue
the shadows that spill from his being.

Watching each and every movement
I reach out to touch his blackened face
my hands instantly burned by the ice
it was just his reflection
I feel a puff of air on my cheek
he had been standing behind me.

He laughs giddily at me
spinning me around on the hardened floor of winter
his face changing with each step
a god, then a monster, now him again
his hands branding themselves into my skin
like a fire, wild and untamed.

I can hear whispers, voices coming from the depths
he grins at me again, his face a skeleton mask
an army of the dead rises from his feet
crawling towards me, chasing me
I cannot run from beings that are faster than light
they scratch me with their rotting fingers.

Blood oozing down my body
his ecstatic expression to much to bear
one snap of his fingers and everything is gone
the pain, the skeletons, all dissappeared.
Now butterflies, fluttering around my head
torn wings bright with fragrant blood.

The intoxicating aroma just another temptation
yet nothing compared to his smile
as I try to utter one word, one syllable
his lips stopping my breath
my eyes flying open in shock at the taste
like the glistening salt of death.

His face once again a hollow mask,
as his sun cursed eyes stare into mine
a shiver running through my very soul
the monster he is wrapping around my mind
he tampers with my thoughts, my words
the master of my dreams.

Close your eyes darling, fulfill all your wishes
Slide down the rainbow into a sea of gold
To a magical place where you never grow old

Keep a tight hold of your dear teddy bear
Watch as the mermaids comb their shining hair
They'll sing you a song with voices so sweet
Listening to them is such a lovely treat

Chocolate drops fall from a Vanilla sky
Pixies and fairies are all flying high
Scattering pixie dust over your head
This is better than any fairytale you've read

The glitter carousel is waiting to start
Shimmering unicorns beg you to take part
The organ strikes up a tinkling tune
About a little cow who jumped over the moon

Pink candy floss cloads float lazily past
Time in this dreamworld flies by way too fast
A cute little elf reaches for your hand
Ring around the roses then fall on the sand

Butterfly kisses and cold lemonade
An enchanted dreamworld that your mind has made
So go to sleep sweetheart, close your tired eyes
Spend all your sweet dreams with magic butterflies
