Alive or dead?

OK I want to know what you seriously think.

Is it better to be alive wishing you were dead, or dead wishing you were alive?

dead wishing you were alive , coz ud be dead and you wouldnt feel wht you were feeling , coz if you were alive wishing u were dead you wouldnt be enjoying your life .

The answer is simple, they are the same thing. If you are alive and wish yourself dead, you're already dead. If you're dead on the inside wishing for life, then your pretty well screwed there too. If you think about it, they are, or at least can be, the same thing.

Aren't all of us a little dead and wishing for life, with our foot in Death's door? Aren't all of us alive and somehow looking forward to the end of our days?

Wow all your answers are great, if not a little confusing. So now you have me pondering even more...

I'd want to be alive wishing I was dead..Because when your dead looking down on the world..or looking up..And you see all thats happening in the world. Terrorism, bombings, war, e.t.c...WHy would you want to even be here.. I'm not saying I want to be dead because I'm actually scared of death..But when I'm dead I think I'll be glad because I'd be in a safer place..

i would want to be dead wishing to be alive because i would have already lived and evedetally it would have been a good life and i would like to have a good life. For me to be wishing i was alive again in my mind means either there is someone in the world that i want to talk to or that i would like to relive my life because it was so good if that makes any sense at all and if i were wishing to be dead when i was alive well then i would probably end up like my real grandmother and i don't want to end up like her living through life wishing that i was dead because everything was so screwed up and then just end it myself because that would be horrible

Wow great answers everyone! Ok this isn't my opinion, just a thought. And I'm trying to go by common beliefs here.

If you were alive wishing to be dead wouldn't you have the power to change and to grant your wish. But if you were dead wishing to be alive you are pretty much screwed. Unless of course you believe in reincarnation...

Alive wishing you were dead ... you can do something about that. But dead wishing you were alive ... it's unheard of to return from the dead.

you still have a soul and feelings even when you are dead.
your body is just not alive... that doesn't mean your soul is dead too.

Bobbie Marie: Isn't that a matter of opinion? I mean I'm not sure what I believe, but surely it depends on your religion as to whether you believe that a) you have a soul and b) you can or can't think once you are dead.

i agree with amanda cuz im already alive wishing i was dead, so been there done that....i should probably get some sleep my vision is going kind of blurry
