Guitar Question.

    Well to get to the point im going to have a try at learning electric guitar but my knowledge of them is nil but i have been reading up on them and have learned a little so im trying :) .
    So im wondering if any site members that may know a thing of two about them could help me, Iv found a guitar pack (Listed below) and i'd like to know is its suitable for a starter.

    (Name) Elevation Full Size Electric Guitar.

    Classic ST style solid body electric guitar.
    Maple neck and rosewood fingerboard.
    Solid wood body.
    Tone and volume control.
    3 single coil pick-ups.
    5-way selector switch and tremolo system.
    10 watt RMS amplifier,
    nylon carry bag,
    strap,
    10 feet guitar lead,
    3 plectrums,
    6 note pitch pipe,

    Tune Automatic Tuner.
    Universal Guitar Stand.

    Any help will be much appriciated and thanks in advance.

    That's sufficient for a starter. But you don't need some of those stuff like the stand.

    That is fine for a starter, actually that package provides you with more than you'll need for a starter, which is good in someways and bad in others.

    I taught myself as well, been playing for 9 years now. I started with Acoustic and then went to Electric and found it to be much easier to do it that way then reversed.
